    • I just saw this too a little bit ago, so sorry to hear for the family. Prayers
    • Just a quick update. The man has now passed.
    • Mr.Six is apparently being brought back from the dead
    • Penguin Trek is opening on July 7th Pass Previews start on July 2nd. The e-mail was just sent out with the dates for pass holders: https://www.wesh.com/article/seaworld-orlando-opening-date-penguin-trek/61195796 "Ready to be among the first to ride the ALL-NEW Penguin Trek? As a Pass Member, you can join us for previews from 8 a.m. – park close on select dates based on your tier: Platinum Pass Members: July 2–3 Platinum and Gold Pass Members: July 4  Platinum, Gold, and Silver Pass Members: July 5  Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Pass Members plus Fun Card holders: July 6"   I'm hoping the previews wont be too crowded with it being a holiday week and schools on summer break. Ice Breaker and Pipeline were 5 minute waits for me during those previews but they were in the winter and spring on days when local schools were open.
    • People on the ride said they hit a deer or some kind of animal. I get it you want to get home but waiting 2 more hours would of been fine.
    • I feel sorry for the kids the most, it  did't mention if there was another adult with them, only that he was with 2 kids. I can just imagine how scary it was for them. I seen another inteview with a ride attendant but the posting page wasn't sure if they were working or not, but basically this guy said that the man was told he would have to wait until the end of the night and retrieve the keys from Lost and Found, got back in line then disappeared, and was struck in an area of where Banshee is only 5' off the ground according to the ride attendant.
    • That’s terrible, I hope he makes it but it’s 100% on him, material things can wait till later when the park closes and they can look for it safely!
    • As a local, I've driven by that place many times, but I have yet to eat there. (I did have lunch at Basset's, the joint that used to be there, a few times.) But I'm always up for a good steak.
    • Ugh, this again. I witnessed someone go into an off-limits area on Project 305 to look for something they lost, and us on the train and in the station booed her good. They are off limits for a reason.
    • Budgeting for the land is less my concern as people not understand what the ride is and little kids getting scared and cry and they yell at universal and they tame it down.
    • Why not just ask the source? I asked ChatGPT5, "How will artificial intelligence (AI) be able to assist with roller coaster designing and engineering?" I got this last little bit when I first asked, "How will ChatGPT5 be able to assist with roller coaster designing and engineering?"  We'll be the assistants. Are they really going to need 100 engineers after AI can do calculations that took people months to do in a matter of seconds? People say that's not possible, because we have to check and make sure AI isn't making mistakes. But, what if you have two separate AI programs double checking each other? Isn't that called a safety redundancy? Aren't safety redundancies pretty common in the industry? It's dollars and cents. People will lose their current jobs. The optimist on my shoulder reminds me of the mass fear of job shortages when computers took over basic functions completed by humans. However, the tech boom actually created jobs. The pessimist on my other shoulder says the masses will be on universal basic income within the next ten years, because they won't have a damn thing to do. If you're not following the AI boom, do it. If you have the availability to get involved in AI integration at your current positions at work, do it now. Be part of it, not a victim of it. If your job and only skill is data entry, you should probably enroll in trade school to be a plumber or electrician. Those jobs will be harder to replace... and the country needs a lot more of them in the immediacy. On a somewhat related personal level... I'd scrap my hard earned degree in a heartbeat in order to wire new buildings and not worry about a fucking thing once I clocked out. Pay cut be damned. There would be no emails to check, text message inquiries on my days off, court standby, or calls at 2:30 AM to put on my shit and come in, because someone just got deaded. Here's to the AI boom. Cheers.
    • Kings Island guest believed to be hit by roller coaster after entering restricted area     One teen guest commented, "i just think it's crazy how like some people i don't know just don't think enough to kind of like hop into like where you're not supposed to be to like risk getting hit by a roller coaster."
    • Hay man! Us fulk frum Illinois resint yer statemints about the superier corn mayze! 😄  I kid. But seriously guys, thanks for all of the great advice.
    • You're settling for the potential to pay more and get less out of gratitude toward a massive corporation. The objective is to make more money, not primarily to make the product better. If the product gets better, it's only a means to an end, and always short lived in the corporate entertainment industry. The people shaking hands on this couldn't care less about quest experience as long as revenues are high. Most of them don't really give a fuck, down to new innovative roller coaster designs to the paint on the queue rails. If company research indicated they could actually earn more money the more miserable the guest experience, they would adopt the strategy of keeping the guests as miserable as they could, for as long as they could. Shit. When did I start talking about the 21st century medical industrial complex? Two companies had separate creative visions and growth strategies. This was already diluted by financial greed, as per usual. It's natural and unavoidable, but at least you had two similar, but different products to choose from. Now, for those who liked Coke, but disliked Pepsi, and those who liked Pepsi, but disliked Coke, they're stuck with Coca-Pepsi. Meaning, now in order to enjoy what you already like, you have to have more of what  you don't like. My glass half full... I deeply hope that Cedar Fair can elevate the experience offered by Six Flags, but I'm not optimistic. My expectation is that the more juvenile cheap copy/paste themeing and neglected details of Six Flags will spill over to Cedar Fair.
