    • We got the chance to ride Psyke Underground last year, and it was a LOT of fun. We enjoyed it much more than we thought we would. Howevever, I can say the LIM launh defiantly feels slower than the flywheel launches. It doesn't have the same inital "punch." Stil a lot of fun though, and having it enclosed was an awesome experience!
    • I will definitely add it to my list. I have not heard of the Gràcia area, but it sounds like a nice place to explore and enjoy some local cuisine. I appreciate your suggestions for the coffee places; they seem cosy and inviting. I am planning to visit the Sagrada Familia, the Casa Batll, the Gothic Quarter, and the Montjuïc Castle and some of the beaches, parks in the city. I am not that familiar with the places or the language. I am trying to learn some basic Spanish phrases. Do you think it's a good idea to get a local guide?
    • The influence of music on young people is very high, so spotify apk mod brings the best music for young people.
    • I miss it too.  Is Nagashima Spa Land the last one?  Apparently, the other one, per RCDB, Psyké Underground at Walibi Belgium was coverted to LIMs by Gerstlauer in 2013.  I was previously mistaken and thought it was a Kumbak conversion.  The remaining ones are disposed of or in storage. Unfortunately, Psyké Underground is now fully enclosed in the dark and so it is hard to compare to Monte but LIMs appear to decrease the initial launch acceleration.   I used to pop the clutch on my manual transmission Dodge Charger to race, but it is a good way to not only launch really quickly but ruin your transmission at the same time.  I know because I had to replace the transmission when it was two years old.  This coaster type would have similar stressors. https://rcdb.com/8192.htm "Flywheel Shuttle Loop - Schwarzkopf (Münsterhausen, Bavaria, Germany) Discontinued, Manufactured from 1978 to 1982 Details Roller Coasters 8 (3 relocated) Notes this shuttle roller coaster launches riders through a nearly circular vertical loop. Next the train climbs a 70 degree incline until it's momentum is depleted, falls backwards and repeats the journey. There are two variations of the catapult system: Weight Drop and Flywheel. The Weight Drop uses a 40 ton weight in a tower at the end of the ride. The weight connects to a pulley system which triples the speed of the drop, placing over 13 tons of force on the train. The Flywheel utilizes a six ton flywheel in a machine room in front of the loop. The flywheel spins to 1044rpm and then engages a 4:1 speed reducer. This turns a drive pulley and propels the train via a cable."
    • Park Güell is a place you really should visit in Barcelona. Have you thought about going to the Gràcia area close by to try some tasty food? Some small, comfortable coffee places such as El Jardí de l'Àpat and Bar del Convent might be good choices for a meal after visiting the park. What sorts of things do you plan to include in your schedule for Barcelona?
    • Variety is the spice of life and current;y the top 3 is all floater. An ejector machine and a modern family woodie is what we currently need the most.   Last I checked Gerstlauer, Mack & Vekoma were fairly reliable, it's okay to give them a chance as well... that's what everyother park does.
    • Yeah. Thank God the park isn't getting a reliable easy to maintain general public pleaser like a B&M.
    • ^Same    Especially since even the high end hotels aren't even maintained as well as they were pre-COVID.
    • We ended up renting a cabin a while back when we stayed in Pigeon Forge. Made it a lot more enjoyable. Wasn't significantly more than local hotels were, either. Another option to consider depending on how much time you're looking to spend in the area.
    • We tried a smattering of mountain coasters and our favorite (family of 5) was the Rocky Top coaster just outside Dollywood on route 449. We loved Goats on the Roof as a tourist trap, but not the coaster - it was very short. Rocky Top is quite lengthy and "themed."
    • This is very sad news. I always liked those Schwarzkopf shuttles, but most of them are gone.
    • I will be sure not to miss anything there. Park Güell seems really interesting. I haven't decided on the activities or places to eat. We are currently at an early stage of planning. Do you have any recommendations?
    • Looks like there is going to be an announcement from the park on March 7.
    • I don't necessarily disagree with you. Like I said that is the "official" reason given for the big 3 at IOA at the OI meetups, I've always assumed that was more the park not wanting those lines still full an hour after the event ends which is 1:30 am, and of course HHN only affects USO most of which are indoor rides. Plus RRR has cool optics from City walk 😏 I was more just trying to be informative to the actualities of the late night events.
