    • Disney has announced that the renovated Test Track will open on July 22, 2025! https://disneyparksblog.com/wdw/test-track-reopening-date-july-22/ Buckle up for a new spin on a fan-favorite attraction – Test Track presented by General Motors will reopen on July 22!   This attraction update will debut an all-new musical score, as well as new scenes that highlight technology making our cars smarter and our lives more fun.   See Through the “Eyes” of a Vehicle One of those scenes showcases how vehicles can use advanced cameras and sensors to “see” the world they drive through. While Test Track has always celebrated new and future automotive technology, it’s also a reminder of what a road trip is all about: spending quality time in the company of friends and family while embracing the beauty of the world around you.
    • Looks like a great addition to replace some old slides.  I'll miss the old ones, but that's just because I grew up with them.  I can completely acknowledge that they never have lines anymore (especially the old body slides), so this will be a great update.
    • Waldameer just announced their 2026 Water World plans, which includes a two-phase, 4 slide replacement of the original four Water World slides and reconfiguration of their Endless River. https://www.facebook.com/Waldameer/posts/pfbid02eqW3ZaahaGQb5PV3tprgecoR5mJiSmoehKQ8Uv73hNgYuuxr6ZuR1852knFzwjuFl I like the upgrades and hope they include the waterfall feature similar to the existing feature on Endless River. Definitely a large scale upgrade for the water park.
    • I Road TT2 on Saturday. Broke down 4 times in a row. One train went then broke cycle all 3 trains. Again run a train or 2 then cycle them. I found it funny that they have a auto spiral stating that the rides is exercising machinal issues and also one stating that the ride will be working again. Its like they knew it was gonna be down a lot.  For the ride, I mean its fun. The first lunch seems to slow for how much lunch track you have your kind of just cruising down the track. Backwards at 100MPH is fun then going up that spike is great your just kind of floating till you starting going towards the forward lunch . I was in the back row and you do just get throw over the Hill and its great.  Bad not sure if it was just the seat or the train i was on. This think shook so bad. Not like  coaster rattle but like to flat tires going done the free way. Really took away from the ride. I was just trying to lean forward so as much of my back and was not touching the seat. I wanted to get a 2nd ride but the wait was just to long for me to take a 2-3 hour wait away from the Family.  The Locker metal detectors process is a bigger mess then Steel Vengeance. Not sure how to fix that but that's like a 20 min wait before your even in the line.     Zamp really f this thing up. I am hoping to get a ride or two more on it last this summer but I'm also not even sure if this thing will make it a 2nd year. I was a big support of just give it time it will be epic but now I'm just like what is happening. How is it so wrong.
    • I was at the park for the first time in years on June 1st. We stopped the day before to get my son (15 this summer) the three credits at Seabreeze. It was in the 50s and windy, so that place was empty, and we were in and out in less than an hour. The spinner was as I remembered it and the two wood structure coasters were crawling in the cold. Not ideal, but the next day looked better for Darien Lake. We were there at rope drop and headed to the back of the park like we always do. I apprehensively got in line with him to get his Mind Eraser credit first. We grabbed the front row and, with the new vest restraints, it wasn't too bad. It was no Great Nor'Easter, but it was better than the one they did the same thing on at SFA (RIP).  Tantrum was closed and remained that way. I guess it has been down for a little while now. And of course it was as Tantrum is the only credit I don't have yet having grown up being taken to the park every summer. Oh well. We'll be back. Viper was next and it was the same old gem I fondly remembered. By modern standards, this old Arrow looper is of course pretty tame. It runs through its course smoothly though with surprisingly little headbanging. I still approve. Viper has always been and remains one of my favorite Arrows. Predator was up next and this was to be my first ride post-Titan track. Given that this was my absolute bottom coaster in any possible ranking with my last experiences with it, I still figured the non steel portions would be so horrible that it couldn't be redeemed. The ride was good though! The upgraded portions were smooth as silk and the layout got to shine, finally. The still wood sections were not as awful as I expected, either, though they were far from smooth too. Superman, er, Ride of Steel followed for my son's 250. We had absolutely awesome rides on the clone down by the capital this summer in 104 degree heat, so this slow running original on a day barely warmer than half that number was pretty disappointing. Still fun, but it hardly had anything left for the bunny hills at the end that always used to be so great. I chalk it up to the cold day. From there we walked over to Boomerang, which was a credit for him and I am not sure why I bothered to ride it to be honest.  MotoCoaster capped the first rides. I remembered this one as having a punchy launch and then doing nothing. It indeed had a punchy launch, even stronger than I remembered, and I am happy to report that I remembered wrong. The swinging turns were taken at a good speed and I actually ended up liking this one a lot. From there, we walked back to take another peak on Tantrum, grabbing another good ride on Viper on the way. We ate lunch and then gave not-Superman another go to similar results. Finally, to cap the day, we decided to take a last ride on Predator. This was our best decision. We waited for the front car (which took forever for like six trains -- I am not going to whine any more than this, but operations were horrible all day) and the ride was a rush. I don't know if it sped up a little or if the front is just where the airtime is at, but my old wooden nemesis was hitting almost every hill exactly right. This was a GREAT ride and easily our best of the two park trip. I really look forward to visiting Predator again in the future and a younger me would be very confused by that statement.  Final note: Predator was running the purple train that I had read appeared recently. Even though it was a weekend and wait times were growing, they did not ever put a second train on. Nor did Mind Eraser. This park may be viewing having a second train as having a backup in case the main train breaks. There doesn't seem to be much intent of actually putting two trains on the track at once.
    • Objectively this looks like it will be Premier's best coaster yet. I'm happy to see they modified the side paneling on the train to make it easier to enter/exit, plus no comfort collars or seat belts. The second launch will also hopefully have a pretty good kick since there isn't much length down in that tunnel to bring it up to top speed. And the layout looks SO good! I was nervous about it not being ready in time for my 2-day visit on 7/31 & 8/1, but I have a little more faith now since it started testing. Yay!
    • All of the mass on these pendelum rides is what scares the shit out of me. When I recently rode Joker for the first time at SFSTL, it gave me rational fears of something like this happening. The other thing I always worry about, which is not so  rational, is the ride somehow building enough speed to do a full loop leading to catastrophic failure.  Honorable mentions to rides that make me nervous are extreme launches for the insane chest/stomach tickle, wind seekers where I worry about the bolt sheering off, and drop towers... because drop towers. I'm becoming a real pussy the more I focus on my daughter and the less I ride the big kids rides. It's actually kind of cool reliving nervousness and adrenalin on rides. Riding less in full blown adulthood has been more for me.
    • Wow! So is Motocoaster now the only coaster that can run multiple trains still with only one? I know they may not be running two trains on all coasters yet, but at least they are there when they need them
    • You got your second train now, enjoy.  Never thought I’d see the day.  credit: amusementescape (IG)
    • ^ Yep. Nope, 😵   And it didn't "break down." It broke off.
    • Had to postpone my trip next week for unrelated reasons, glad I'll be able to get on this and Siren's Curse later this summer!
    • ^ QUICK! Send me a plane ticket!     😉
