This wont make sense to many people but I am just looking at TT2 now as a high performance race car. If you want to go fast or do cool things you just know things will break. On a race car a motor might blow, suspension might go out you kind of don't want it to happen but know it will at some point. you rebuild and repeat. Like most roller coaster track parts get welded. TT2 might just have times that it closes for a few days to repair/ a part weld a crack and they might have replace said support pole ever year ever other year. They just become wear items just like the old cable was. -

It feels like it. other parks are having problems too. The new Expedition Odyssey at SeaWorld supposedly already had the air conditioning break a few weeks after opening. Wild Oasis had another delay with no new opening date announced. Iron Gwazi is running 1 train for now with the other 2 trains having maintenance done. Hours were cut again this week for both Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. Over in Adventure Island they didn't have enough tubes for the lazy river so they took the single tubes from Aruba Tuba and Calypso Coaster and moved them to the river (lazy river tubes are green, slide tubes are blue). That left about 10 double tubes in use for both slides. It's frustrating to see knowing how their parks used to be run. Now the parks feel like they are run like a bad Six Flags park but not at Six Flags prices. -
I didn't get an ask NOT to say anything, so I will share. I spoke with Jeffrey Siebert multiple times during Roller Coaster Rodeo this weekend, and at one point I was teasing him how I hope the new coaster at SFOT is named "El Toro" , as it's in the Spain section of the park. Name it that just to watch enthusiasts heads' explode. he laughed and told me that in all seriousness, they *were* planning on using a name from elsewhere, but he insisted (and won that battle) for a unique name. --> so the new dive coaster will have a unique name in the chain. (similar to the way they went with Chubacabra for the Goliath rename at SFFT). I followed up asking if it's themed to bull fighting as it's in the Spain area, and they aren't planning on changing that. and the response was "you'll just have to wait and see" but yeah.. unique name for this new coaster. -
fantastic weekend at RCR, and I'll get a trip report up in the near future. Rattler mentioned Jeffrey's tease about 2027 - and I'm assuming that means really nothing will be added in 2026 (unless they put in a new ride onto the Kid Flash pad, once it gets demolished - as of right now, the ride entrance is totally walled off, which is a shame as the whole rest of the ride IS visible thru the chain link around the rest of the ride. So gotta wonder if they will eventually just wall it all off). but expecting something big to be announced for the 35th anniversary in 2027. Perhaps that wood "out and back" on the boardwalk, that would fit perfectly in that area (and that side of the park could use another coaster). I asked that in private to someone and got a raised eyebrow. . . so who knows that that means 😛 in other news, tho Jeffrey was at the park during Fri/Sat for Rodeo (he had to go to Houston on Sun, and Jeff F. from SFOT (who used to be at SFFT) came down to represent). . . the new park GM, Robert, really ran RCR, and it was so smooth. He was out and about, and I interacted with him several times - got a pic with him, so I'll post that in my report. So while the individual parks might not have Park Presidents any longer? they will have General Managers dealing with the day to day stuff.

You should just pay to Charity to get your ride in. I wouldn't think crowds would be that much busser due to it. Maybe that Friday when the ride is open. ITs almost the week of the 4th and its just crowed at that point on till Middle/End of August. -

Things did not go too well apparently for Everland's 'newest attraction'. The ride was originally for over 130cm guests as long as you were under 90kg. But after only 3 days opening, apparently due to collision injuries at the bottom with the speed of guests it now has a very restrictive 130-160cm height limit and under 60kg weight limit. Changed to: Edit: Tried to find videos on youtube and first result was this short where the person got diagnosed with concussion after riding:

Great Chase may get relocated. SFSTL could benefit from this but, it may cost more to bother with it than building a new one. Ragin Cajun may be in a similar boat. The question is if it's cost effective to save them. Consider the cost of transporting them, land clearing, pouring new footers, and building new stations. Both of them are just short of carnival rides. Likewise, Superman would be a gigantic project to move and you'd have to find a pretty flat large piece of land for it. I wouldn't be surprised if none of them get moved. The only real possibility would be SFSTL getting getting a used SLC. -
