    • Because it would be an Orion-sized troll towards enthusiasts and it's fun to watch people's heads explode.
    • I hope somehow the actual height of the ride is only 299 feet, but the drop is over 300 feet.
    • When do Scary Farm tickets go on sale? Looking forward to getting back to Knotts and a chance to ride Xcel. My 2018 visit was rough as Xcel was down almost the whole year, Hangtime had yet to open, and most of the coasters were down or closed.
    • Hey guys, the futuroscope just opened the first real Mack Rides Rocking Boat ride... And looks very interesting, take a look: https://youtu.be/7lfc52mTvGM?si=-XPs6O_VCRhHauf8   Edit: how do I get the video embedded in here?
    • Work has resumed on Montezooma recently.  The loop was topped off today and is complete once again.  Great to see.
    • Interesting behind the scenes video about the making of Six Flags Over Texas new 2026 Record Breaking Dive Coaster! https://youtu.be/xoQrRZ12HIk?feature=shared
    • I was never sure if the lawyers said you have to take it down or change it or if they could of just change the line and upgraded trains and just kept it how it was.  The ride system in a way is pretty simple and a lot of swing lunch/multi lunch coaster operate with out much down time each day. I have no idea what is going on it right now but the train felt like it was trying to shake its self to death. Could be more bracing on the wheels is sending the vibrations upward to the car along with the track dampers.  You would think when they had 6 to 8 months + the year before it they could of got those right. I get sensors act up but again you had over a year to get everything inline and working right.  Is this a case of yea we can build it then you realize you might be under qualified for the job. I hope it stays as it is fun a lot of people like it, but its like they tried to make it more reliable and somehow right now is worse then the last few season TT1 was open.
    • Thinking about it now, I wish I would have researched this. If the cost was within a few hundred dollars I would have purchased a ticket. Sucks.
    • Yeah. I'm starting to be in the same boat. Maybe this is what happens when you take a ride that already has problems due to its complexity, and try to find a fix by making it even more complex with a less experienced company for such extreme rides. Top Thrill 1 was a massive success and a crowd favorite. It seems like they would have been better off just sticking with the hydraulic launch. They could have changed the flag plate design and put safety nets between the queue and break run to counter any negative PR. Top it off with new paint and minimal themeing upgrades.
    • Just returned from my second-ever trip to Great Adventure. No pictures but a couple of thoughts. The Flash: Vertical Velocity is a good ride. Not great, but quite fun if there's little wait and buttery smooth. I Love You New Vekoma. In fact, toward the front of the train there's a delightful pop of airtime on the backwards return run. Flash and El Toro now have mandatory free lockers in the queue which worked really well, I thought. El Toro was down half the day but opened up mid afternoon with one train. Dispatches were taking a loooong time so something going on with sensors, maybe? Anyway, it is noticeably jarring in the third seat of each car but the middle seats, at least, negate most of the potholes. I had forgotten how insanely intense El Toro is -- what a beautiful ride. Super minor notes: their Dark Knight coaster is *not* a mirror image clone of SFNE's Gotham City Gauntlet -- GA's is *much* smoother through the trim brakes and lacks the awful bunny hops/hit the brakes section at the end that SFNE's has. The darkness really makes GA's so much better. Wonder Woman never opened at all yesterday. Jersey Devil also had issues on and off all day. Oh, and last but not least (since I'm not that familiar with this park) -- was it always just a giant mostly closed shopping mall with rides scattered about? Even with the brutal culling over that last year or two, this place has more shops than I've ever seen at any theme park! The ratio, even a few years ago, has to be at least 10:1. Granted there are a lot of shuttered storefronts, but my lord.
    • Its a good move i think as most of these centres are badly in need of a refurb and let a new owner takeover and breathe new life. The legoland at manchester is also run down too in a bad state. I also think they have priced the tickets too high for too long which has come back to bite them.
    • I can see it from both sides… the park would generate loads of revenue, tourism to Scotland and jobs for local people, but the land needs protected at the same time.
    • Disney has announced that the renovated Test Track will open on July 22, 2025! https://disneyparksblog.com/wdw/test-track-reopening-date-july-22/ Buckle up for a new spin on a fan-favorite attraction – Test Track presented by General Motors will reopen on July 22!   This attraction update will debut an all-new musical score, as well as new scenes that highlight technology making our cars smarter and our lives more fun.   See Through the “Eyes” of a Vehicle One of those scenes showcases how vehicles can use advanced cameras and sensors to “see” the world they drive through. While Test Track has always celebrated new and future automotive technology, it’s also a reminder of what a road trip is all about: spending quality time in the company of friends and family while embracing the beauty of the world around you.
