DirkFunk
Need some input, is Mt. Olympus really that bad that I should avoid it at all costs? I’ve lived only a few hours away from the park for several years now and haven’t been yet, but since I might be moving away soon, I’m thinking about biting the bullet and going. Tickets are $9. Just man up and go.

coasterbill
Is this a sign of the end times? Has there been a rapture (possible... it's not like I would have noticed)? Mt. Olympus is doing maintenance... Amuse Rides
Kyle Coleman
I didn't think mt Olympus knew what maintenance was.
xVicesAndVirtues
Oh sh*t, I was actually thinking about finally making it to Mt. Olympus next year...
SixFlagsAstroworld
Pictures of Mt. Olympus doing maintenance is more rare than pictures of a bigfoot
Jew
I hope we don't soon find out they are only doing maintenance because of another incident...
SharkTums
^Honestly I was thinking something along those lines. Like is it really still considered just "maintenance" if the ride was falling apart and unrideable?
i305isdaddy
I wouldn't be shocked if an actual injury forced this... 2 years ago I was riding front row of Zeus and slammed my rib so hard on that turn that my side turned black and blue for a week. It was horrible looking. That whole turn around section was BRUTAL beyond any ride I've ever been on.
jarmor
As quiet as kept, it seems that Mt. Olympus is demolishing Avalanche and the log Flume according to SCREAMSCAPE Pictures from screamscape
SoCalJasonland
Did you mean Timber Falls in Wisconsin Dells is demolishing Avalanche and the log Flume? https://www.timberfallspark.com/
thrillrider
Did you mean Timber Falls in Wisconsin Dells is demolishing Avalanche and the log Flume?https://www.timberfallspark.com/ This is a real bummer. The avalanche was the best coaster that we rode in the dells.

PKI Jizzman
Really sad, that was such a fun little coaster. On the bright side now no one needs to go to the Dells.
Woodie Warrior
Good riddance. When we visited the Dells in '16 that was by far the roughest coaster I had ever been on.
SharkTums
^&^^ Exactly. That *WAS* a great coaster when it first opened and the staff and owners there were awesome. Towards the later years, it was just as crappy in all ways as Mt. Olympus is!
Canobie Coaster
I've heard the ops at this park are wretched. If I show up on a sunny Sunday, roughly how busy do the coasters get? From past reports it sounds like there's no guarantee rides open with the park, but if I show up late the max crowds will have arrived. I'm trying to figure out what the worst wait is at this park (1 hour?).

VinTheAttendant
^^ I visited the park early last month on a Saturday with a threat of thunderstorms (that never came). Different circumstances than your situation, but hopefully you can take away something useful. At rope drop, there was only a small crowd at the entrance; a majority of them went to the water park, leaving walk-ons for all the coasters. All four wood coasters were open at park opening. The lack of crowds actually backfired on me since Hades only operates with a full train, so I wound up sitting in the station for about 15 minutes until enough people came to fill the train. The operations were far from great, but there were empty rows on all the coasters (except Hades) all day, so it didn't matter.
Canobie Coaster
^ Thanks! Wow that's really strict on Hades. I guess I want them to be somewhat busy then.
Canobie Coaster
For those who have ridden Zeus recently, is it running smoother than usual? I did notice a lot of fresh wood on the turnaround. I found it quite smooth. So either they really did a lot of work on it or I'm immune to rough rides.
Intamin_coyote
... or I'm immune to rough rides. Oh I think that's a very real possibility Of all the TRs I consistently read, you sir have an impressive level of tolerance!

coastercrazy216
I saw that Mt. Olympus is going to be opening a slide wheel from White Water next year. Honestly, it is the most terrifying thing I have heard in a long time. Not the slide itself; just that it is going to be AT Mt. Olympus.
