abovethesink
White Lightning didn't need this, but it is fun to see them experiment. It isn't like it was some amazing credit I don't ever want to see touched. It was a good, but not great ride in my two rides last October. Mine Blower, despite being the better ride with that awesome layout, could use something like this given how rough it has been. But obviously it isn't a GCI, so that is less feasible. Still, if they want to proof of concept the idea for coasters beyond their own woodies, just drive down the road!
abovethesink
Also, I would be doing the world a disservice if I forgot to add how amazing the Go-Karts are at these parks, especially the Kissimmee location. I could have ridden them after dark forever. The racing got intense and my god those stacked tracks are pretty nuts. There was literally light air time on a couple of them. The Orlando tracks were good too and I thought they were great until I got to Kissimmee, so I recommend doing the parks in that order. Mine Blower is the main event for the coasters too. Honestly, we did SeaWorld, BGT, and both Universals along with the two Fun Spots and while those places were great as always, I think the most fun I might have had on the whole trip was on those go karts. Do not just go for the credits and miss them, especially after dark. They are included in the normal ride all day wrist band too.

Hilltopper39
FYI Fun Spot is having a sale this Saturday for $23 tickets, limit of 10 per person. If anyone has a trip to Orlando scheduled this summer/fall might be worth grabbing a couple passes. I'm not this biggest fan of Fun Spot but for $23 it's worth it's worth it for a few hours of fun.

Zand
So this trip was all about Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi. But going in, I knew Mine Blower was quite the polarizing coaster and that usually means I'll like it. Verdict: OMFG! Is it rough? Absolutely. Is it one of the best and most insane wooden coasters on Earth? Also absolutely! Don't ever leave without riding it in back. Also, the Hurricane coaster in the back of Old Town might be one of the more frightening coasters I've ridden. It's so janky and the cars feel like they might fly off on any of those tight mouse style turns. What a bizarre coaster, but fun nonetheless! I did stop at FSO earlier and White Lightning is good pure fun! Nothing mind blowing (or...mine blowing if I do say so myself) but worth stopping in. AmyUD06
Fun Fact: That coaster in Old Town is the same exact type that took a bath in the Atlantic after Seaside Heights got hit by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. A fitting name, eh? I never rode the Star Jet in Seaside, and the Old Town rides were closed during my Orlando visit in 2021, but yeah if you check the Casino Pier thread you'll find nothing but celebration that the Star Jet was destroyed. More power to you for enjoying Mine Blower. I found it unbearable in either the front or back. I found White Lighting to be the vastly superior Fun Spot coaster, so much that it made my Top 5 Hybrids, ahead of some RMCs.

I know they put Titan track on a very very small portion of the ride (1 hill?) for testing/proof of concept; did they end up doing more/all of the ride or is that why you consider it Hybrid? Just curious. I'd imagine hearing more about it if they transformed any more of it. I do agree it's a fantastic ride but I rode it when it first opened. It has a metal structure; with it being painted white it can be hard to tell from a distance. I rode it before any of the Titan track was installed. anonymouscactus
Sorry if this is the wrong thread I wasn't sure if this was both FL fun spot parks or not, but news came out of left field that Mine Blower at Fun Spot Kissimmee is getting the RMC treatment? Well, no news yet, but track is on-site... Whoah.
tndank
Not a fan of this move. Wish they'd retrack it with wood.
anonymouscactus
I think I'm in the minority who thought the ride was... "Ok". It gave me a terrible headache and the timberliners vibrate to all hell, but I've been on much worse wooden coasters. I'm all for this move curious what they do with it.
CaptainUnknown
I love Mine Blower. It's just the kind of ride that will beat itself to shitereens if not cared for properly so it's a good thing something a bit more permanent is done. I have seen an image floating about of the track, but is it confirmed to be RMC track? Isn't GG also working on some sort of steel track?

tndank
The track photos yesterday are from a reliable source in the industry. And it seems to match their 208 Retrak product. This should mean it's going to keep its layout. This could end up being really good. Love the layout.
grsupercity
I love the trains and the aggressive fast paced layout and the trains. If they can 208 retrack and leave the layout and trains then it should be okay. Just dont tame the beast
swfan1988
I would curb your excitement a little... I've seen the pictures and it looks like the 208 ReTrak they have been putting on Timber Terror and Tremors. However, each time they have added it they have reprofiled the ride slightly. It doesn't change the layout but it does reduce the "amplitude" (for lack of a better term) of the element. I don't know if that's just a park specific thing that Silverwood is doing or if it's just how the product works.
tndank
More info has come out now. Seems to be about 25% will be retracked. First turn after the inversion has now been cut out and tossed in a dumpster.
