  1. I was there the week after Thanksgiving last year and every coaster was open except for Great American Scream Machine.
  2. Kinda like them putting extremely tight seat belts on the Cedar Creek Mine Train. I think those restraints are honestly a tighter fit on me than the ones on Dragster. I don't get it.
  3. I was there. They also shut down Orion and The Beast for 2 1/2 hours due to fireworks.
  4. How many Six Flags parks do you think shot off fireworks in complete daylight?
  5. People can say what they want about Paramount Parks, but there's no way in hell they would have done something this ridiculous!
  6. Cedar Fair has already said the Haunt is returning this year for Kings Island and Cedar Point. I don't see why Knott's would be any different.
  7. I have All-Season Fastlane Plus but I've always gone in the morning. If I show up in the late afternoon, will I still be able to pick up my wristband?
  8. I wonder how that's going to work in some of the other parks on rides where phones are forbidden on certain rides (El Toro, Jersey Devil)?
  9. I think Kumba would be the next logical coaster to try. It's a much better transition than Montu, which is a great ride but easily the most intense of the 3 at BGT. Don't miss Kraken at SeaWorld. I think you'll like that one as well. By the time you get to Universal, you'll be ready for The Hulk (which is IMO the best B&M Looper ever).
  10. It's probably too late, but I'll do my best. 1) My understanding is that you'll pay the Gold price for the Platinum Flash Pass. 2) It seems perfectly safe to me. I'm not sure if there's any height or weight limit. 3) I believe you can ride however you want. I rode by myself, so there's certainly no "two per seat" rule.
  11. Hopefully they will allow vaccinated employees to ditch their masks too. That would certainly help.
  12. True. People also complained when Flight Of Fear was closed at KI during Winterfest because of Orion construction.
  13. If $8 for a soda is real, that's insane considering I was just at Universal Orlando and they were $3.99.
  14. Thanks for the info. I often visit parks by myself, so I guess I'd just have to use the bins by the rides? The discount on merchandise, parking, etc will also be good up at Great America, correct? At least that's the way I'm reading it.
  15. I have a quick question regarding Diamond membership. When it says "Unlimited Soft Drinks", is that only applicable if I carry around that big cup all day or can I just do regular paper cups?
  16. If you're only going to go for the 2 days in 2021, then the cheapest method would be a 2-day ticket ($99) and two trolley tickets ($3 each). The trolley is very convenient, runs every 15 minutes and is cheap. It 's about a 5-7 minute ride and drops you off right by the entrance to the park, which is also handy. https://www.pigeonforge.com/trolley/ I was skeptical when I first heard about it, but it was a piece of cake. If you still would prefer to park in the lot, then you'd looking at a total of $139 for the 2-day + parking. That's still less than going the route of the pass. For some reason I'm not seeing Gold Passes (the pass that covers parking) listed for sale right now? I'm not sure why that is.
  17. It very well could be. I'm still a tad bit more excited about Velocicoaster, but Pantheon looks amazing also. If we end up getting Pantheon, Velocicoaster, Iron Gwazi and Jersey Devil all opening the same year.....this will go down as the best year in a long time in terms of new coaster openings.
  18. Thanks for the info! I went ahead and bought it online from SWSA and it gave me a barcode that appears to be active. It would still be cool to get a physical card at some point, but I can live without it if I have to.
  19. Don't you have to activate it at the San Antonio park before you can use it anywhere else?
  20. There is such a thing as overdoing safety. Cedar Point was to the point of being absurd with sending all of those ghost trains after sanitizing. Thankfully, Kings Island didn't do that nonsense. They wiped down but never sent ghost trains. It sounds like Carowinds was a mess. I'm glad I didn't go this year. I thought Dollywood, Six Flags Over Georgia, Disney and Universal did much better with ops.
  21. Today everthing was pretty much a walk-on. It got a little busier after it got dark (5-10 minute waits on a few rides), but yeah it's dead this week.
  22. From Universal Orlando on Twitter today: "We are making a modification to our loading procedures for The Incredible Hulk Coaster and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. To accommodate Guest demand, we will load every row of the vehicle while still ensuring there is separation between Guests onboard." Let's hope this catches on everywhere!
