andre8 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I like Afterburners and Frisbees, but not pirate ships.
GeorgeT Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Everything that`s swinging. The bigger...the better
DarienLaker Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 My faves are  .Scramblers . Zamperla Disk'Os . Swing Bobs or similar rides . Wave Swingers/Chiar Swings . Guided track car rides (do they count?) . Carousels
Screamin_Eagle Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I like the drop towers myself, and the Disk-O rides.. I really like King Chaos at Six Flags Great America, I haven't tried the pendulum swings yet will hopefully get to check out some new flats this summer at the different parks I visit.
Ejectorbater Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I like the ones at SFMM. Oh wait, they dont have flats!!!
TXthrills2010 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Reverchon Himalaya (any) S&S Tower Chance Chaos HUSS Troika HUSS Frisbee
australianalex Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Anyone here been on one of those Zamperla Power Surges? I did recently, insane ride. If you have nobody sitting next to you, you get an unbalanced ride and can expect a ride full of flipping, a fairly terrifying experience.
Ace Of Spades Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Definitely the S&S Screamin' Swing...did my first two this Summer and they were both absolutely fantastic! Â Also love the Chance Chaos, the HUSS UFO, old Rock-O-Planes, and every single flat made by Mondial!
coasterfansince1999 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Definitely a gravitron or rotor. It feels like a Velcro wall.
screaminkid2005 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I have always loved Chance Chaos! Â I'm also a huge fan of Screamin' Swings, Sky Swatters, & Top Scans.
RideofSteel Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 After riding all the flat rides at Great Adventure (Like 4) my favorite would have to be the Moby Dick rides on the boardwalk. Also, Scrambler are fun too.
Kafka Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Can i list fair rides? if so my favorite is probably the chance zippers. If not, probably xcalibur at SFStL.
Tanks4me05 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Drop Tower: XScream at Waldameer (basically any ARM or Larson drop tower.) Â Non-Drop Towers: Mind Warp at Martin's Fantasy Island, Top Scan at Canada's Wonderland, Chaos at Cedar Point.
dylanreich Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Evolution, a fair ride. It's actually the same thing as Excalibur at SFStL, just without the nice theming and look. I literally shit my pants when I rode it at the OC Fair in SoCal when the OSTR's couldn't handle and fell into the metal sheet in front of everyone.
jakeryan9 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Evolution, a fair ride. It's actually the same thing as Excalibur at SFStL, just without the nice theming and look. I literally poo-poo my pants when I rode it at the OC Fair in SoCal when the OSTR's couldn't handle and fell into the metal sheet in front of everyone. Wait, WHAT happened? I rode that ride at the OC fair too. Pretty trippy and disorienting.

I rode that ride at the OC fair too. Pretty trippy and disorienting. Yes, during the part where you're just spinning straight upside down our OSTR's basically fell into that big metal sheet... Maybe I'm not describing/remembering it correctly but that's what it seemed like, not that there was anything wrong with the ride; I was thinking that that's what the big metal sheet was for. But who knows. This takes me too... I should also mention (I mentioned it on another thread somewhere) that on the Tango ride my restraints started un-notching and by the time the ride was over was on the last notch. I spoke with someone from RCS (the company that provides the rides) they said that they inspected the ride and that there was nothing wrong with it; I was back at the fair three days later and Tango was shut down and I witnessed them re-bolting all of the restraints. Apparently this happened to someone else as well.
TXthrills2010 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 After following this thread for a few days now, i guess it's safe to say that most of us were somewhat upset to see just about every park rip out their Chance Chaos rides.... haha
australianalex Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I've heard some bad stuff about the Chance Chaos, what exactly (if anything) was wrong with them?
Double0Kevin Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I've heard some bad stuff about the Chance Chaos, what exactly (if anything) was wrong with them? Â I don't know full details, but I know they tended to have stuff fall off of them. Â I'd say my favorite types of flats are Giant Frisbees. I could have ridden MaXair for days.
coasterfansince1999 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Small: Flyers Large: Giant Frisbees
donkeyman18 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Screaming swings one of the rides that still scare me when you get to the straight down point.
IanKgtr Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I'd like Screamin' Swings a whole lot more if they weren't so dang short (duration-wise). That aside, my favorite has to be the Huss Giant Frisbees- they tend to give far more "equal" ride experiences than inward-facing claw rides. Â As far as old school flats, the flyers at Knoebels easily take the cake, especially if you can master the whip technique. An honorable mention also goes to the Knoebels looper- again, if you can master the technique
dippindotsguy8 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 After this morning, I have to add Gerstlauer Sky Flys to my list. I just rode the one at Nickelodeon Universe, and holy crap it's amazing.
gisco Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I reall like Giant Frisbees and will always ride those in a park.
