CoasterDirected Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 My favorite Arrow coaster of all time, Tennessee Tornado. Didn't understand the hype for this thing but the drop through the mountain in the back seat is insanity. Throw in it rides smoother than some B&M's, and the weird things it does in the vertical loop are actually really fun. Easily top 15 coaster.
Nrthwnd Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 During my WCB and Disney trip, Goofy's Sky School in DCA was my last newest coaster ridden... right after my next newest coaster ridden, California Screamin'. Original art concept of the Mulholland Madness do-over. Looked nice. Runner-up. Sept.14, 2016
RollingCoasting Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Python Pit - Go Bananas, Norridge, Illinois - August 18th, 2015 Ā I haven't left Illinois in over a decade
Rollercoaster Rider Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Rewind Racers way back in September Ā #590
boldikus Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Finally got 100 at Hershey on Sunday, exactly two years after I got to 50, also at Hershey. Trailblazer was most recent at #103. I am not nuts about my count and don't really brag considering the counts of some friends not to mention our much more seasoned members here but something has really made me want to get to 100. So, that happened. And imma brag about it. Ā *waitsforapplausegifs*
Henry M Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Seriously congratulations. I know it feels good to get a landmark coaster as I have just hit 50 and am elated. It is even better when it is a smaller landmark rather than 1000, as to me it is less sad and more just that you ride coasters for fun. Ā Well done!
prozach626 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Probably the wild mouse at BGT. Somewhere around #180, I think.
chickenbowl Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Coastal Ant, a Golden Horse kiddie coaster at Happy Valley Shanghai - It was strange. #437 for me
B&MIntaminGCI Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Sheikra at BGT. It was the last ride I rode before BGT closed, granted I rode it earlier in the day, so technically the newest was Scorpion because it was my least prioritized credit so I pushed it off to get Montu, Cheetah Hunt, Sheikra and Kumba first
sfriday1998 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Phobia Phear, Lake Compounce. My first Premier Rides coaster. Skyrocket II model is CRAZY AWESOME!!
K1ngdaKa88 Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 The Swarm @ Thorpe Park on October 2nd Count #116
LBIJim Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Mako at Sea World Orlando was the last, earlier this month. Ā A few days before that were White Lightning and Freedom Flyer at Fun Spot. Ā Estimated count 425.
CoasterDirected Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Sheikra at BGT, absolutely insane in the back row first drop, rest of the ride is good but not amazing. I personally prefer Valravn due to it's much more solid second half but Sheikra has one of the best drops on any coaster I've ridden. Up there with Millie, Maverick, and Goliath (GAm).
CoastinKenny Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Last new coaster for me was Fury325 back on August 4, 2015. Rode it a few more times this year as well. Was hoping to add Lightning Rod this year, but unfortunately my Dollywood travels took me there in late March. I'll be back again next year with hopefully better luck.
DoubleDown Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Valravn. Ā After feeling exactly how I thought a B&M dive coaster would, I would have rather had another lap on Maverick, Millennium Force, or TTD (in that particular order).
DILinator Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 ^You are such a Debbie DoubleDowner! Ā The last new Coaster in my Count, instantly became a new entrant into my Top 10! Ā Goliath at SFGAm!!!
storms555 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 The last brand new coaster that i been on is Valravn at CP. I dont get why dive coasters get a lot of "hate" though. I personally think they are a lot of fun! Hanging there then bring dropped straight down. While Valravn isnt my favorite it is still fun. However i do admit the inversions on it are kind of forceless(i actually thought the inversions on the Gatekeeper were better believe it or not) .....Like you barely feel them or even notice you went fully upside down. So im guessing thats why dive coasters arnt rated very high.
DavidB Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 My newest coaster in my count is Boomerang at Six Flags STL as of last night...were it a boomerang that I had been on at it's previous location, I would have passed... Ā A few weeks ago I went on Valravn and Rougarou for the first time, though I had been on Rougarou as Mantis. I know alot of people aren't big fans of the "forceless" elements on Valravn, but I enjoyed them quite a bit, as a change of pace. If you want forceful elements, Raptor is a 2 minute walk away. The elements on Valravn, especially the first 2 felt like they were perfectly paced to give almost a weightless sensation.
DILinator Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Thunderhead! It was a night ride, and was the last of the coasters I rode, my first ever visit to the park the other day. It was hauling at night, and gave me a much better ride than I was expecting based on the mixed reviews I've read! Definitely look forward to riding it more my next visit to Dollywood!
Genx24 Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 The Incredible Hulk. And what a ride it was.
