DoinItForTheFame Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 So Cedar Fair is going all on the the (Blank) Timbers theme I guess. 2019 Timber Wolf becoems Terrific Timbers for Worlds of Fun 2020 Grizzly at Great America to become Magnificent Timbers 2021 Dorney park to build new family coaster Tiny Timbers "Timbers" is the new "Hawk" --- and I'm okay with that....
certifiedcoastergeek Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Looks like a terrific and intense layout, and the 1950s/Candy Apple Grove theming looks to be top-notch (classic pickup truck trains, probably station and queue theming)! Can't renew my gold pass fast enough!
SingleRiderCam Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) Intimidator 305 is enough to make me take a long trip to this park, but 20 airtime moments and many more crazy RMC elements? A park has never shot up my bucket list like this ever. Edited August 16, 2017 by SingleRiderCam
SLCHeadache Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 This will tie the Candy Apple Grove and Old Virginia areas together very nicely. Much more than I expected from the same park that put FoF, Backlot, and I305 in the "Safari Village".
SixFlagsAstroworld Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Looks so amazing! Kings Dominion just moved higher on my "must visit" list!
chickenbowl Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 There's a sequence of 5 consecutive airtime hills right after the first overbank. That's a first for RMC! Definitely getting back to this park soon. I305 + Twisted Timbers
PixelRush Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Looks like RMC El Toro Uhhhh... okay? ---------------------- Great announcement as expected, can't wait to see an HD video of it! And hopefully I can visit and help bring my count up to 100 during the trip!
chickenbowl Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Looks like RMC El Toro Uhhhh... okay? He's probably comparing them due to the sequence of multiple straight airtime hills (first for RMC)
thrillseeker4552 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Twisted Timbers looks fantastic! I am most surprised by the ride's length! What a great addition to the park.
boldikus Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 I was planning on trying to get down there in the fall, but I'm happily pushing that back til 2018. This is a great park, and this will be a great addition.
The Geek Mojo Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Awesome! Twisted Timbers looks amazeballs!
coasterbill Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 This is definitely shaping up to be the second best ride in the park themed to lumber.
deguy123 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Twisted Timbers looks fantastic! I am most surprised by the ride's length! What a great addition to the park. The POV if I'm looking correctly makes it seem they have extended the structure beyond the original Hurler layout? I could be wrong but can't wait to see the actual layout!

coastin_dude Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 The second inversion looks insane! Reminds me of that stall on Outlaw Run.

Timber Hawk hurler conversion, new for Carowinds in 2019.
SFOGdude25 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Very solid RMC. I love the 3 straight airtime hills toward the beginning.
thrillseeker4552 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Something interesting to note.... Twisted Timbers' cars are not typical RMC trains. Each car runs on two road wheels per side, whereas typical RMCs run on one per side. Just something I noticed. They are almost built more like the Gerstlauer trains on NTAG and IR.

The POV if I'm looking correctly makes it seem they have extended the structure beyond the original Hurler layout? I could be wrong but can't wait to see the actual layout! I think the additional length comes from the extra height added to the ride, especially on that insane airtime alley after the first overbank.
Moley Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 I love the excitement of the riders in that promotional image.
Ed Farmer Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 The amount of elements they were able to cram into this layout is amazing.

That means the airtime will be out of this world!
