Tivoli Gardens Discussion Thread

Odinexpressen was GREAT in 2014! I loved how they waved as you flew by in the station for the 2nd trip. They were also doing that in 2016 when I went back! -

I understand why they are doing this too, but I have always loved the charm of the entrance. It does get VERY crowded before the park opens. This is huge construction process since its taking the place of the old entrance. When I first heard this I thought they would build the new entrance in another location to the side. This is why they most likely announced this early. -

I can't wait to see what they announce! What does everyone think will happen to the old entrance area (meaning the shops)? It's crowded which makes sense to move it but I love that area and would hate to see it demolished. -

Wow! This thing looks amazing and seems like a very long coaster. I also love the two vertical loops, I'm 100% going to this park next year! -

This thread can be one of the worse at times, it's always the same thing over and over again. Hopefully someday they will get a new coaster but they do have Superman, so that's a plus any park would want in my opinion. Also, at least the coaster count isn't going down by 1. -
That section of the park has changed completely since my first visit back in the early 90's.They have removed over a dozen rides from where Spinmeister was to where Dark Knight is now. I even remember when they had a smaller ferris wheel in that area! I'm guessing everyone is right and they are placing a Giant Discovery!

I'm very excited to see what they do with the expansion BUT I do love the current entrance. I know it's cramped but I think with the buildings and trees, it's one of my favorite parts of the park. If they move the entrance I'm wondering what will happen to that existing area. I have been going to the park since I was a small kid and remember when they first expanded with Sidewinder and Canyon River Rapids. -
I feel the same way and I had never seen the movie! It actually made me want to watch the movie finally, which I did! I just kept saying "OMG" the whole ride and I didn't even take my eyes off the screen! Its truly the best ride I've even been on! It's up there with my buzzed night drinking on Helix 10 times in row!

A review of Brew and BBQ would be much appreciated! I've been trying to figure out whether or not its worth it. Short version absolutely, especially if you're a passholder or staying on property and you buy early. I also agree! It was great for the value and even more if you were staying onsite or passholder. I also got a free 12oz beer along with the 15 tickets. BTW....Mind blown by SV! It's my new #1! The Run and Ride was great also, it was packed and loved my time! I'm hoping to do it again next but depends on my wedding in May 2019! -
Just a few questions since I'm heading to the park for the first time on Wednesday May 15th! (I'm super bummed Kumba is closed when we are there!). We are just there one day and the park is open 10-6. Do I "need" to get quick queue while I'm there? Where is the best food in the park? What ride should we head to first when the park opens? Is there anything we shouldn't miss in the park? Thanks for any info!

Just booked Dollywood for my Birthday weekend with my fiance, daughter and her BF. (yeah that sounds weird even saying!) I can't wait to head back to this park and see all the changes since 2010! Its opening weekend so I'm assuming it will be pretty busy. We are staying at the resort onsite so the perks will be great! -

I can't wait to get back to this park once the new coaster is complete! The park is AMAZING! Helix at night (a little buzzed) was the best night on a roller coaster ever! I must have road it 16 times in a row! -

But seriously, I agree with you. We'll see if that is something that is possible or we must just leave it the way it is for now... Or the Boomerang Cobra at PowerLand in Finland. On the trip I remember Elissa saying you blackout once returning to the station (I thought on a boomerang??).I have never blacked out on any ride but that one....it was crazy! -
Flight of Passage was hands down the best ride I have ever been on! I haven't even seen the movie (I know I know) but it blew my mind! We had fastpass and it took about 10 mins BUT the wait in standby was about 110 minutes. The river ride had some down time so the FastPass was extremely long once we went over, so we skipped the 120 minute wait in standby. I saw a women push an employee on the shoulder who was explaining to guest why the FastPass line was so long (due to the downtime). Who acts like that and more SO acts like that in Disney???
