Went to the park Friday and had a great time! Just going to list some highlights and lows! I went to the park in 2011 so its been awhile! Highs 1. Wicked Cyclone was AMAZING!!!! Night ride was even better! 2. Superman was still good! I rode it first as Bizarro, so was glad to ride it as the original theme. (only 20 min wait early in the morning) 3. Lines weren't bad but the park was crowded! 4. Thunderbolt was filling every seat! 5. Summer Shandy 6. Very nice guy at the bar by Macho Nacho Lows 1. Waterpark was packed (I know it's not the parks fault) but they definitely need more slides (3 hours and rode only 3 things) 2. Empty seats galore on Wicked Cyclone and Superman, which could have made the line go much faster if filled. 3. VERY rude employee at Macho Nacho?? Overall I had an great time!

Eh, I'm assuming based on his location that he's ridden the Great Adventure one and that one is vastly superior. The ride effect is the same but the pre show and the ride itself has had a lot of elements stripped out of it in New England. I've actually been on both already as I went on the Northeast 2011 trip (Plus been on the GA one) but still looking forward to getting back to the park! I do remember Great Adventures being much better taken care of.

JB's over by Goliath. It's nothing amazing but it's the best in the park and it's indoors with air conditioning. They have beer, wifi and Coke Freestyle too which is nice. Try the Boom Boom sauce. There's no guarantee you'll need a Flash Pass unless you want to try Superman VR. I'd go in with a "wait and see" attitude. Have fun. Beer??? Are you assuming something?? LOL Thanks for the info!! Edit "No interest at all in Superman VR"

I'm glad to hear about the VR on Superman (I am not interested at all). Heading to the park on Friday August 5th and can't wait! I went to the park in 2011 on the Northeast 2011 TPR trip and had an amazing LONG day at the park! I was looking forward to riding Goliath but I'm still going to get that new credit on Wicked Cyclone! I'm wondering how busy it is on a Friday, but I'm sure it will be busy and I'll need Flashpass correct?

It also looks like the Ferris Wheel is shaded in the background of the dark blue? Then the light blue is moving into the dark blue area? Maybe expanding the waterpark and moving the Ferris Wheel? *Also a few days ago they posted a sunglasses pic at the waterpark and the Ferris Wheel is in one the lenses* -

I agree! Those were much worse then Skyrider! While that park has a few good coasters, it does have more bad coasters in my opinion. Even the wooden coasters (Don't feel like remembering the names) weren't good at all. -
I was at the park this Saturday and the Food and Wine Festival was amazing! My favorite food was the Dumpling from Asia. The day started off great with only a 20 minute wait for Tempesto which was a great ride. We tried a bunch of food and rode a few other rides. We THEN headed over to Verbolten and did a huge mistake by putting both cellphones in my pocket. As a coaster crazy person, this was me being an complete idiot. BOTH phones were gone once the ride stopped but long story shot, they found them and are being shipped back to us. I had no idea that ride was that crazy and the person in lost & found said that ride has the most lost items/phones. The park was very helpful but I know we are facebook post somewhere about two stupid people who both lost their cellphones Anyway the park was amazing as I hadn't been there since 2011 when I rode BBW!

I'd really try for both! Tornado at Bakken is definitely worth the trip, there is a part on it that is INSANE! I have been to both parks and I'm thinking if you are a coaster guy, I'd head to Bakken. BUT Tivoli can't be missed either! Also is the new ride open at the park?? I agree with Chris, which is rare. If you're looking for more of a coaster experience, then I think Bakken is just a little bit better. Tivoli is one of my favorite parks in the world, but in terms of coasters it's somewhat lacking. The more I think about it, you could do both in a day. There's a train station about a mile away from Bakken, and it runs directly to Tivoli (Central Station). Just make sure you hold on to your ticket, right Chris? Start at Bakken in the morning, then head to Tivoli in the late afternoon. Seeing it at night is well worth it. FU Thad! But yes follow Thad's directions and go to Bakken first and then Tivoli. PS....Thad's just mad he doesn't see me in my skinny jeans anymore! -

I can not wait to see this thing in person! I'm really hoping it opens on-time so this thread doesn't turn into the Dollywood thread! -

Yeah, but let's not give them too much credit, it's not like could have just bulldozed the mountain or anything, or maybe they could have I don't know. THis thing looks insane. Hmm--I would give them lot of credit. It's one thing to build a coaster on a flat piece of ground; it's quite another to have to deal with hills, rock outcroppings, and other natural features. I'll give them tons of credit also if this thing opens on June 18th!!! -

I remember being on the other drop tower called Fritt Fall Tilt and it being about the scariest thing ever. Whoever was next to me heard sounds I've never made before
