  1. Nope it's my first time in Dubai. Wasn't sure If I should go to another park since I'm only there for a short time and have one day planned for an amusement park. Well, for starters, it isn't in Dubai. It's a 90-120 minute drive from Dubai depending on where you are in the city. Meanwhile, there's IMG Worlds Of Adventure and the Dubai Parks and Resorts places, which are all very new and quite decent from all accounts. Yeah I know there is a distance between where I'm staying and Ferrari World but I'm so torn on which park to go to. If I was to go someplace else it would be IMG WOA, Ferrari World just still seems like the better choice. Dubai Parks and Resorts just seem like longer than a day and I'd be running around like crazy trying to do it all

  3. Ugh! I'll be there Mid March, hopefully its open for a soft opening during that time, otherwise I may choose another park to visit. I'm only allowing for one day for an amusement park plus the water park. Anyone have suggestions on which amusement park I should be actually visiting?
  4. I will always have the fondest memories of their Mind Eraser at Darien Lake! A DOWNPOUR (meaning soaked half way up the lift hill) started once we were dispatched and I've got to say made for an AMAZING ride!
  5. I hate to hear this (but understand) as this trip was my first time going overseas and I had an amazing time! The Liseberg situation was over the top and I was there. I couldn't believe people didn't see that you, Elissa and the park were working so hard to fix the problem. The park even took about 15 of us and walked us up the exit on 2/3 coasters, I mean I didn't even expect that. I'd never have been able to plan that trip on my own, let alone the perks. Thanks again!
  6. AMEN! Near the top of my worst coasters list!
  7. I cant wait to check Holiday In the Park on Saturday finally! They are having a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD Breaking Mistletoe Kiss Event there so looking forward to that too! Also those Cider drinks look AMAZING
  8. Any more updates on the two new coasters? I'm hoping and praying they are open in March when I visit for my 40th!
  9. Wow those trains look great! Can't wait to go back next year for Food and Wine festival. This time though we (Yes me and a friend) won't lose our phones on Verbolten! (Got it back a few days later, not a scratch!)
  10. Looks great and better then expected! They must have been planning this for a few years because the location is where the Antique Cars used to be before they moved them to the back of the park.
  11. This is indeed surprising. I knew it would be down from last year since they lost early entry and Halloweekends Fridays this year but it's still a surprising number. I thought it was the worst coaster in the park when I visited this September. I'm not sure about everyone else but the head banging was to much! Medusa I didn't feel that way at all!
  12. Don't be so sure. It's recently come to my attention that this little rinky-dink park I've never heard of has an Arrow Log Flume and a semi-respectable looking wood coaster . If you want to do some shameless credit whoring just say the word. I have been going to this park since I was a little kid (Some parts of the park haven't changed at all, which I love). I then took my daughter every year in the early 2000s but now that she is almost 17, we haven't been in a few years. They do have a Log Flume and a Sky Ride for you! They also have a Houdin type ride unless its been removed. Glad to hear they are getting a new addition! I figured it was coming when they moved the Antique Cars to the back of the park and had that huge space now in the middle of the park.
  13. <=======HEY NOW! I'm from Delaware and you have a major point here, alcohol is cheap and no tax! Frightland's Hayride is pretty good and it does take people by surprise! I agree everything else is just "ok". Delaware also is great because sooooo many great parks, beaches and major cities are just a few hours away. I can think of many worse places to live. Just sayin!
  14. I might actually try to make it down for this event! I still need Ragin Cagun credit so it would be worth the trip. I know people "hate" on this park but I've never had an issue while there. I think I usually spend more time at the waterpark, which is great in my opinion. I know the customers aren't always that great but that's not the parks fault. Plus I always love to watch a hot mess/crazy person, its a good time!
  15. I really hope this ride improves because I PROMISED my back, I'd never ride it again!
  16. HAHAHAHA!! Sounds like me when I first drove to NJ. I was trying to get to a Mall and I'm screaming out loud "WHY CANT I TURN LEFT ANYWHERE, GUESS PEOPLE GO TO THE MALL ON RIGHT???".
  17. I wish anytime someone wrote the B word in this thread, it would turn into "It's over"! I seriously have to go thru pages and pages just to get actual "news", updates or park pictures.
  18. Just back from vacation in Copenhagen and Stockholm! I did get a chance to head over to Wildfire and finally ride this monster! It didn't disappoint at all but it just didn't beat El Toro in my mind. The coaster looks beautiful and dominates the back of the park. Also the coaster is a good walk from the entrance to the park. The hang time in the first inversion is something I've never felt and the speed in the back seat must be felt!
  19. Also have to mention the TTD is 100 times better then Kingda Ka!
  20. Same!!! I didn't try the moonshine...ughhh!!! Next time or at Great Adventure, I'm definitely going there in the next few months!
  21. Well I finally made it back to the park on Saturday after visiting in 1994 & then in 2002! The drive was a bit much (8 hours) but WELL worth it! Cedar Point is just how I remember it, AMAZING! The crews were VERY fast on almost every ride and the park employees were very nice. It was also great that a food truck festival was going on! We did have Fast Lane Plus and it was worth every cent since I was there only one day. Maverick was the top hit for me!! The first time I rode with my glasses and ended up having to hold onto them, so the following rides were much better! Rougarou in my opinion was HORRIBLE (I rode Mantis and remember it being the same), I just banged my head back and forth so many time! Valravn looked beautiful and was a great ride but Maverick just is insane!
  22. Yes. I predict that many enthusiasts will feel entitled and butt hurt at the same time. Yeah after announced I'll stay away from this thread!
  23. Great trip report/pictures but my favorite was the Chickie and Pete's Fries / Beer picture!
  24. Is there any news on the two new coasters opening in 2016? I just found out I'm going in March 2017 for my 40th and VERY excited!
  25. I'm heading there on Saturday the 3rd! Can't wait to head back to the park, last time I went was in 2002!
