SharkTums
Yeah, I thought Halloween events are basically printing money at parks...weird to just completely cancel it.
Jew
Granted this is all twitter heresay, but what is being put out is that the producer of the event asked for more money in order to support his other venture (SAW escape room—-supposedly isn’t doing well) and MGM said no. KBrylczyk
Looks like Freakling Bros. is going to be raking in the dough even more this year. Hopefully this will push some much needed business to Bonnie Screams, as well. That's a great haunt in a seriously awesome location that needs more traffic. Mr Stratosphere
Every Friday and Saturday night after dusk Adventuredome is holding Neon Nights, the park has a DJ and club lighting. Worth checking out!
coasterlvr
guess there was an accident on El Loco. coasterbill
Some articles are stating that they don’t know if the ride was even in motion at the time so while the headline is obviously pretty alarming it seems like at this stage it could be anything from a guest flying out mid-inversion to someone getting sh*tfaced in the casino, going to the Adventuredome and then falling off of the ride platform. We don’t know much of anything yet.

I have cousins who live in Vegas, and she did tell me (since she knows how much I love coasters), that local news is saying the woman was a rider, and the coaster was in motion when she fell out. Apparently the woman was taken to the hospital in "serious" condition. . but that's all my cousin knew. googling didn't really turn up anything more recent than the other day tho. yawetag
In the TPR video, it doesn't look like the restraints have a seatbelt attachment? Am I missing it? If not, then this will become Exhibit A on why I don't mind that extra belt being connected.
A.J.
That's correct, none of the El Loco coasters have seatbelts that go between the legs.
Joe Schwartz
El Loco accident victim was a double amputee: https://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/local-news/woman-who-fell-from-circus-circus-roller-coaster-is-double-amputee-report-says/1900365330
cal1br3tto
Yes, shocking headline. Although it's hard for me not to feel bad for injury victims (except, you know, all the blatantly stupid ones), apart from that I'm relieved to know it was someone who clearly could not have ridden safely, and absolutely should not have been permitted to ride if her disability was obvious. DoinItForTheFame
El Loco accident victim was a double amputee: https://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/local-news/woman-who-fell-from-circus-circus-roller-coaster-is-double-amputee-report-says/1900365330 Okay.... I 100% feel this is on the ride op at the time. Like, ride op training 101 you go over the “tri-pod” rule. After the Six Flags accident, I’m pretty sure, the “tri-pod” rule became one of those requirements that manufactures say must be met prior to riding. The “tri-pod” rule states that every rider must have 3 functioning limbs. . . Either two legs and an arm, or two arms and a leg... But they had to have at least 3 (of their own limbs) prosthetics didn’t count. So if the ride op noticed she was a double amputee they shouldn’t have let her ride to begin with.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Canobie Coaster
I plan to visit on Saturday November 30 at the end of the night. I was planning on going on the Monday, but Adventuredome is closed for rehab. I fully expect that to be one of the park's busiest days considering it's the weekend after Thanksgiving. On a busy day at this park, roughly how long are the lines? I'm only interested in riding El Loco, Canyon Blaster, and (my first) Chaos). We're wondering if 2 hours is enough time to get on each ride 1-2 times.

grsupercity
So apparently a new thrill ride is coming this fall, has anyone heard any rumors? There used to be rumors of a custom chance big dipper coaster coming here. Those fizzled out a while ago sadly
KBrylczyk
So apparently a new thrill ride is coming this fall, has anyone heard any rumors? Where'd you hear that? The property is in the middle of changing ownership as well as the pandemic shitshow. I doubt they're adding anything new until late 2021 at the earliest. Mr Stratosphere
A new ride has appeared on site at The Adventuredome. From the looks of it, it looks to be a Zamperla NebulaZ!Nothing was announced by the park, but the ride is clearly visible in public view. If you are wondering what location the ride is being built at, it is being placed where the old lower reservoir for Rim Runner was, the right turn before the lift hill. Recently, it was used as a roller skating rink. The location of the ride, you can see the foundation is completed and the center hub is on its side. Ride arms sitting just outside of the park. Seats sitting just outside of the park. The center hub of the ride awaiting installation. From Zamperla's website of a NebulaZ in operation. Seats sitting just outside of the park.
