Zand
Is everything else open in there? Will be in Vegas next week and,its always worth popping in for a couple El Loco rides. Is Chaos still running? Lol Everything is running except Miner Mike, the park will be closed from 9/14-9/17 and 9/28-10/1 I'll be there 9/14 - 9/17. Balls. Guess I still have the Stratosphere and the Togo masterpiece at least.
thepoint4life23
Interesting with how hard Vegas has been hit that they have moved forward with building a new ride.
SoCalJasonland
Interesting with how hard Vegas has been hit that they have moved forward with building a new ride. The water park slides expansion and new ride were probably planned and purchased back when Phil Ruffin purchased Circus Circus before COVID struck, so they likely couldn't back out. Phil is Trump's good friend anyway, so he can't let a fake virus keep him from his improvement plans The place kind of needed something new, and they could always use the new additions to steal market share so it is not a complete loss in a bad year. Mr Stratosphere
Last weekend I decided to take a lap around the Adventuredome. The unannounced new ride (the model is a Zamperla NebulaZ) is now vertical and it looks like the ride’s queue will go through part of the trough of the old chute the chutes ride, Rim Runner. Neon Nights is still going on, on weekends, they shut off all of the parks general lighting and play up beat party music. The park isn’t very busy, but actually comfortable and for the most part people are social distancing and doing their part. Canyon Blaster is running really well and so is El Loco. I did notice a pricing change and that individual ride tickets are no longer available, the only thing available for sale is All Day Wristbands.
coasterbill
I can’t believe Chaos is still running but as long as they keep running it we’ll keep popping in for a ride whenever we find ourselves in Vegas.

COASTER FREAK 11
Any news of the park removing the rest of the rock?
Mr Stratosphere
Made a quick lap through The Adventuredome and the NebulaZ is fully built. Enjoy the photos below! It’ll be a nice addition to the park! This is the bottom of Rim Runner’s lift 1
coasterbill
I didn’t realize that much of Rim Runner was still there since I only go there at night to ride Chaos and leave.
Mr Stratosphere
Yeah the lift, upper trough and pre-drop are still in place.
Nrthwnd
I have always loved the look and the cycling of that NebulaZ, when I first saw it demoed at the convention Robb & TPR covers for us. Sorry, forget it's Official Name. It's an age thing and that's my excuse. But I always thought that this would a great flat ride to have at Playland in Vancouver. When they started enlarging the park. And adding new rides and attractions, etc.

bert425
great pics. . and as I noted on the TPR FB page. . I absolutely love the "headchopper" effect the A/C pipes give on NebulaZ can't wait to see it in action in the park.
bert425
hurm. . . new reports went from "shooting on Strip near Circus Circus" to "shooting took place inside Circus Circus" to now saying it happened inside AdventureDome? how did the guns get in? Thought you have to go thru security scanners at the entrance (at least we did when we went a few years ago). I hope they recover. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/08/us/las-vegas-circus-shooting/index.html
SharkTums
^There are some videos online that are pretty crazy. It basically seems like the Las Vegas strip is going crazy every weekend now, and not in a good way.

The ferris wheel can be seen right behind the kerfuffle. Pretty pathetic people discharging a firearm so close to children having fun.

Mr Stratosphere
NebulaZ quietly opened at Adventuredome. Fun ride and a nice addition to the park. I don’t normally like spin and pukes but this ride was a lot of fun with bits of floater air. Visually this ride is stunning to look at!
VegasBaby
Looks like a fun addition to the park, I’m going to have to go down there and give it a spin.
COASTER FREAK 11
This ride gives me Tampico Tumbler vibes from the old days at Knotts.
Canobie Coaster
This one sounds like it could be run a bit faster than the one at Luna Park in NY. I rode that one last summer and I didn't get any airtime. The ride was all about the visuals for me.

That's the ride I was trying to remember a comparison to! Rode it back in 1996... way back when. Not exactly the same, but still. Freeked us out, at the speed and intensity of the thing.
