thepoint4life23
I went yesterday also, It was overall a great day. Anyone thinking about going should go in the next few days. The park is doing a great job with everything. Almost felt like having a face pass without spending the money. I am interested in seeing what the park does with the last two months of the season. prozach626
Almost felt like having a face pass without spending the money. Is a face pass where you pay extra not to wear a mask? I thought that was called a Karen pass.
AmyUD06
I would easily spend several hundred dollars for such a "face pass."

hey...hey
I was at CP the past 2 days and besides the access passes, everything was running smoothly. There are some shops and eateries closed, but they have brought in various employees from other parks to fill the gaps in ride operations. All in all a good 2 days. And I as well, was able to snag SV, MF and Maverick passes, along with a ride on Rougarou, within an hour inside the park. Got 3 rides on SV on Wednesday. BTW, a transplanted Carowinds supervisor informed me Carowinds will stay closed this year
Rollercoaster Rider
Just curious to anyone going, Do you have to wear a mask on the coasters?
VF15
^ Yes, face coverings are required on all rides.

tndank
Front row for a TTD rollback today. Never thought I'd get one. What a day. Had a blast. FL+ makes everything a walk on.
AmyUD06
Congrats! Don't rub you FL-ness in the face of those of us who have to do without LOL. Edit: Next post is 1,000! Better make it a good one...
tanthonyam
Does anyone know who the author of that new book CP 150 years is? Looks nice.
Pedrinho
One more question, how does the souvenir drink bottle work? Buy a bottle. Refill it on the same day for free or on future dates for 1 $ in every CF park. Refillable every 15 minutes. In 2017, we sometimes weren't charged on future days. I don't know why. bert425
Does anyone know who the author of that new book CP 150 years is? Looks nice. not sure but heres the link to it, so you can ask them: https://cedarpointonlineshop.com/collections/150th-anniversary/products/150th-anniversary-book I know some folks here have bought it, so hopefully some of them can answer since they have received it. boldikus
It's actually more of a photo book, the majority of text inside is factoids about the park. No one is listed as an author though: Super nice, albeit rather pricey, coffee table coaster porn.
PeoplemoverMatt
Front row for a TTD rollback today. Never thought I'd get one. What a day. Had a blast. FL+ makes everything a walk on. It sure helps that FL sales are currently suspended...
tndank
There are other ways of getting FL. (eBay, etc) Just saying.
PeoplemoverMatt
There are other ways of getting FL. (eBay, etc) Just saying. I would never trust buying FL from anyone other than the park itself (or other authorized seller like a hotel or travel agency). There are waaaaaaaay too many scammers on places like Ebay, assuming it's even legit to sell FL on Ebay or anywhere else which I highly doubt. I'm sure FL+ is a great perk for those who managed to buy it before the pandemic and shutdowns. The less people who have it, the more value it has. prozach626
I've been thinking the same thing. Can you verify it's valid? If not, I'd be too skeptical to buy.
DavidB
I wasn't going to post about it, for a couple of reasons, but since the discussion is taking place... I went to the park Friday 7/31. I took the chance and bought fastlane + entry tickets for me and a friend from ebay. I chose a seller with very good ratings and that had a couple reviews at least saying that the tickets worked. We both have platinum passes anyway, so if it didnt work, we were just out the money, but we were doing basically a 1 day from St. Louis and wanted it to be as "worth the trip" as possible. The tickets worked flawlessly and we were actually riding rides from about 1 to 7 and in that time we got on: Steel Vengeance x4 Maverick x3 TTD x2 Valravn x2 Gatekeeper x1 Millennium Force x1 Gemini x1 Magnum x1 Raptor x1 Blue Streak x1 I was happy with that "production" over the course of 6 hours. Happy enough that I want to do it again and didn't post anything because I didn't want people buying up the rest of the tickets "my guy" has available. tndank
Same here. And I also hit up some reddit and Facebook people that were unhappy CP wouldn't refund their tickets. I was happy to help them out. And after using them for a weekend, I planned another trip 2 weeks later. I'm 8 hrs away.
FeelTheFORCE
Just to echo what's already been said, I also had FL+ while at the park yesterday, and it's definitely worth it for anyone that can snag a legit pass. Everything is walk-on with it. Surprisingly, I also didn't see a single breakdown all day yesterday either. As far as I know, TTD, SV, MF, Maverick, etc., all ran consistently all day long. By far the best day I've had at the park in years, pandemic or not.
AmyUD06
With my 1000th post, I do declare that my initial assessment of Steel Vengeance from a month ago was faulty. I think I got stapled on my back-row ride then, because on this trip I've gotten two back-row rides with some space between me and the lap bar and holy shit, this thing is awesome! Felt like I was out of my seat for half the ride. That said, and after some not-3-years-ago rides on the rest, my new CP existant-ride rankings are as follows (all changes noted in bold): 1. Maverick (back) 2. Steel Vengeance (back) 3. Millennium Force (front) 4. Raptor (back) 5. Top Thrill Dragster (front) 6. Gatekeeper (back) 7. Iron Dragon (back) {substantial drop) 8. Rougarou (back) 9. Magnum XL-200 (front or any non-wheel seat) 10. Gemini (any non-wheel seat) 11. Valravn (front) 12. Cedar Creek Mine Ride (any non-wheel seat) 13. Wicked Twister (back) {substantial drop} 14. Corkscrew (die in a fire) 15. Blue Streak (di in a fire) Not ranked: Kiddie Coasters since they're kiddie coasters and Pipe Scream because its not a coaster, and defunct coasters. My complete report from this trip is forthcoming. Not only did you buy FL from an unauthorized reseller, you were so proud of your success that you didn't want to draw attention to it for fear that others might grab them all before you could get more? Wow … that's some pretty flexible ethics there. Just for the record, the park itself does NOT condone selling of tickets or FastLane on the internet. DavidB
You understand correctly. Flexible ethics lol. I have no clue how many combo tickets this guy bought for the specific purpose of reselling but yeah, I thought I would like to take friends back for the experience. And if the park was selling fast lanes for 150 I'd be more than happy to pay them for it.
