So I've seen the aquatrax joke on all the forums for a long time. I finally decided to look it up. OMG, it may be a joke but those things look freaking awesome! So yeah, it really needs to happen!

I'm just waiting for the day when Intamin actually builds a 500-foot AquaTrax, and all our dreams come true!

Even if Cedar Point did get an aquatrax, they'd find some way to screw it up.

Why does the dude in that last photo look so angry? lol, I'd be smiling from ear to ear if I had his job!

Looks to me like he's just concentrating.

That is what I was thinking. He's really just focused on the job at hand.

Maybe he just has a "resting b!tch face."

Took a look and definitely a thing for the locals which is good. Basically you are buying ERT, some behind the scenes tours, and on ride video. (Though it doesn't clarify if that cost extra which I would assume it does.)

What about coastermania?

It's getting to the point where it will be too late for me to put the time in at work.

Just put the time in. Think about it--worst case scenario, they sell out of Coastermania tickets and you don't get one. You can still go on that day during the regular hours, 10-10. They're still open to the public. Plus, once you know you have the time off, you can be quicker to pounce on the tickets.

I actually requested the time off and reserved a hotel room at the full flex rate last October. So I'm good to go as soon as the tickets go on sale. But I've already decided just exactly what I've written above--I want to go to Coastermania, but if I don't get a ticket, no big deal, I'll just go that same day during the regular hours.

#1 rule of traveling: Be flexible.

Question: For a ride operations employee, is there enough time for RWC, or will it actually be more convenient?

Me personally I would not put forth the money for this, as there is no way to guarantee that would not be working during some of those events(you do get 1 day off a week).

See, that's the thing......

It's more about the actual event to me. Typically we hit the park 15-20 times a year, so it would just be another day in the park and not worth taking a vacation day as they are valuable. There are a couple of other events going on this summer that I would go to if I can't get coastermania tickets, but the trick is choosing a vacation days in time. I would prefer coastermania over some of the other events though.

Yeah, I get that. I feel much the same way about special events at Silver Dollar City. Holiwood Nights is the same day, and that's a fantastic event too, and not too far from you. You could even take the day and then give it back if you don't end up needing it. I don't know; I tend to be overprepared. I hear you, though; I'm checking the site daily for when Coastermania tickets go on sale. I've been wanting to go on a dive coaster since I first heard about Oblivion, and finally there's one in the Midwest!
