  1. Sorry if this has been posted but it looks like it could potentially have 4 train op. The rendering POV (I always take with a grain of salt) shows the transfer shed with 4 tracks. Taken from
  2. The one in KC from my understanding didn't even open last season. If they do buy it I could see them develop it into a sports park like in Sandusky.
  3. Side point/rant from the discussion... but why do these little park enthusiasts fb pages insist on plastering their photos with more then one watermark. It just screams I posted it first!! Sorry just had to vent for a second.
  4. That video reminds me of the fly cam on No limits but without clipping the supports.
  5. I know I'm like 4 months from the last post but I found this as to why they removed those track sections. https://www.parkz.com.au/article/2018/08/24/620-Track_comes_down_from_DC_Rivals_HyperCoaster_during_annual_maintenance.html
  6. This might be a stupid question but is Primers track (Sky Rocket) manufactured by the same place that's doing this track for S&S?
  7. Nah we wouldn’t talk about you, we’ve had far more interesting things happen than someone walking across the causeway. By the way walking on the causeway is prohibited due to the fact there is no sidewalk and that people speed over the high bridge and is such a major blind spot that it is very dangerous for anyone to walk across. We get calls almost every day to go pick someone up off the causeway that is walking, jogging, bike riding, and fishing. My suggestion is to get a cab and or Uber/lyft.
  8. That’s because they get a gimmick out of floorless trains. AKA: They can market more features to try and draw people to the park.
  9. It's Cedar Point... They need high capacity rides. They already have high capacity rides. But this ride is quite different than the high capacity coasters that have 3 or more train operations at the park. 1) This is the first modern roller coaster they have refurbished that's old, and wasn't started from scratch. RMC and the park had to work with what they had. This is quite a bit different than B&M or Intamin flattening an entire area of the park and starting with a clean slate. 2) There was no room for an unload/transfer-to-loading and/or doubleloading station like Millennium and Maverick/TTD (respectively). 3) If they planned on running 3 trains, they would have probably done it on opening day with the huge crowds they had, or atleast it would have been seen testing a couple times running that way. It has never been seen doing 3 trains testing, and if they ain't doing it testing, they ain't doing it with people on board. 4) I get it, you're an enthusiast. High capacity rides give you a nice big coaster boner. I used to get them too. But consider: it is much more reasonable and practical for SteeVen to have 2 trains running with no stack, while also having a train sitting in the transfer if something goes wrong with the other two. As we know, RMC trains are quite finnicky. Having a fresh train ready to go if one goes down is better than running 3 trains, having one go down, and then quite possibly having another go down with no fresh backup. Because then the park is right back where they have been for the past 3-4 weeks at 1 train operations, with a full crowd, in the middle of summer. It's NOT THAT BAD having one coming in to the final brake run with the other on the lift, and not stacking while the other one loads. YES, I agree, 3 trains would increase capacity by a little bit, but all things considered, with the ride dimensions and RMC train issues, it just make no sense running with 3 trains. I'd bet the Cavs winning the Finals before I bet 3 train ops on SteeVe with passengers. And I want the Cavs to win. 1. Rougarou? 2. The ride has 5 blocks so it doesn’t need a unload station or duke load station. With that logic how does that explain Raptor, Gatekeeper, magnum(which has 4 blocks) 3. And just because you haven’t seen it run three doesn’t mean anything. Unless you work the ride or are apart of the team working on trying to fix the ride how do you know all this and trying to make it fact when it seems that all you’re doing is making assumptions based of your observations when you happen to be around the ride. 4.So what about all the other RMCs around the world that operate without spare trains and one of there units goes down or if two happen to go down ? What are the supposed to do. And capacity means a lot to the park and if they could even increase throughput even the slightest now that they have to work with IROC procedures they will.
  10. if the brakes are magnetic the lighter the trains the faster the train will slow down... I first noticed this when I worked Maverick as when the train (empty) would enter the tunnel during our testing every morning the train would come to a crawl in the permanent fixed magnetic fins and we had to wait to send the next train up the lift or the train on the lift would rollback if the train in the tunnel hadn't moved into the launch section of the tunnel. but as soon as we start loading the trains with guest the trains would coast into the launch section with more speed than with the train being empty.
  11. That model was made with Coasterdynamix (they don't sell the system anymore) which was developed long after Top Gun was put into the park
  12. For the sake of humanity if you're going to complain, can you at least use the correct grammar? Like use the proper there/ their/ they're, It really isn't that hard.
  13. I don't see how this any different from Coasterdynamix other than it looking like Arrow track and you have to buy the supports separately from a hardware store.
  14. As I told Robb last year this will be the best 1 - 2 punch right next to each other that no other park can offer.
  15. Can we not start with this? No one cares about this except whiny enthusiasts. Don't call a water slide a coaster and there is no discussion. It's a water coaster, not a water slide. A so called water coaster is just a water slide that you sit in a tube. Using the logic that these are coasters than flumes are coasters too. But, nobody calls flumes coasters b/c they aren't. Why do you care that much about what other people call a coaster? Seriously it's not that big of a deal to get that butt hurt over someone else's opinion. Maybe you should look into another hobby if you are getting this anal over what you consider a coaster or not one.
  16. People like you make me cringe, to the point I hate considering myself an enthusiast. To take a hobby to the point where you're calling people dumb because they don't notice something so obvious to you or me; is taking it too far in my opinion.
  17. Or instead of calling them dumb, they just don't care like we do and/or don't look at it and notice every single change going on. They see a coaster that was announced that it was being torn down, so they see the cranes and they think nothing of it other than its being dismantled.
  18. Okay here is my favorite thing I have been able to collaborate with. The ride sup I was working with wanted to do something other than buttons so the decided he was going to do a really small run of lapel pins ( they are not for sale ). I did the design work (obviously I didn't do the logo) The proof of digital representation of the final product Here is the initial design The completed product Just to show size
  19. Hi guys, I would Like to show off some of the design work I do for some of the crews at Cedar Point. The designs are not affiliated with Cedar Point, Cedar Fair, or any other park. the crew then takes that design and gets it printed on buttons, hoodies, T shirts, or even this year one of the crews is getting a design on a Lapel pin. They are approved from the park to allow only crew members to be wear those designs, so If you want one come work at the park. (A new policy as of last season doesn't allow us to ask the regulars if they would like to get hoodie / button from the crews). I hope you enjoy a slight peak at a hobby of mine. Also if you need any graphic design work done and you like my style just message me on my official page I have set up. facebook.com/kallendesigns facebook.com/kallendesigns
  20. If a Skyrush type coaster was built within an environment like Lighting Rod.
  21. ^Fun fact since the remodel the bar in the back was made out of some old park benches
