You would want to make sure the whole train is functional and how it goes through on the track^

It's not the whole train. And testing the train is not the point of the pull through, it's more for clearance testing.

My only guess is because the first car is different then the other cars. (in seating at least).

On MF I'm pretty sure they only used the nose car to do the pull through.

Awesome! Not only was it good to see the brass train out, but it is amazing to see that they are doing a pull through! I hope they have a podcast on it! Or some pics or a video would be amazing!
They said in the last OnPoint blog post that they hope to make a new PointCast(what they call their video podcast) of the process.

A time lapse video of that would be pretty interesting.

Yup, and if you look at the picture before the one you posted it's a side view clearly showing they use the first two cars. In every example I have seen they use the first one or two cars for the pull through. I hope they make a podcast of the pull through on this.

Ah, crap.

Didn't see the other set of seats on there. I'd remembered they'd had a picture of MF's pullthrough in there somewhere.

...Stay in school, kids. It's working wonders for me.

I talked to monty jasper for an interview, and I asked him when he thought the pod-cst would be up, and he said that it should be up by next tuesday.

I can't wait until this summer when we go to Cedar Point. I just hope I can get all the credits I need, which I should considering we will be there for a few days. Maverick looks awesome!

Put your crack pipe down! lol

We arent getting 15 inches...at least not Northwest or Sandusky. Just check any of the weather/news sites in the area. Its saying "Few Snow Showers" at best. 15 inches is blizzard conditions...lol

Few = 15inches? lol not around here, thats still alot.

Well I live about 15 mins from downtown Cleveland and my county(Lake) and a bunch of others are under a Snow Warning till Saturday at 4pm. 15 inches is nothing compared to the usual.

I just saw on our local news that they had one of the cars on the track.

Yea, I saw that! and the water is underneath the double inversion! looking awesome, Maverick!

Alot of progress on the station, look at the whole frame up! and look closely for the train

^Please, please just stop. It was funny before the ride was announced. Now, it really is just stupid.

Actually, I thought it was stupid right from the get go. But to stay true to form... Maverick will always be my favorite Aquatrax.

How do they actually do the pull through? Whats pulling the car along? And how are they able to let the car slowly down the drops?

A crane will pull the cars very slowly throughout the 4,450 feet of track. As you can imagine, this process will take days, as it’s the slowest part of ride testing.

^ This is great, and shockingly it still looks like an aquatrax-inspired design to me. Anyway, hope everything's on schedule, and it does appear so, for the spring launch (no pun intended).
