  1. Maybe the hotel just needs ...... TOGO in a different direction. GET IT?!?!?!?!
  2. I’ll be at the park tomorrow and was wondering if Fast Track is a necessity on a September Saturday. First visit since I was like 6, but I’ve read mixed thoughts about it in the era of coronavirus.
  3. I know I'm late to the party, but who let Avril Lavigne on Andy Warhol's lip?????
  4. I'd be interested to see a version of the accelerator that is in the 300' spectrum. It might allow for the use of LSMs instead of a cable launch, and could prove to be a more efficient iteration of the ride. Either way, this combined with the newer lapbar design should be awesome! Really cool addition to an already epic park.
  5. I have a feeling we shouldn't even be worrying about whether the queue means something or not till the park actually opens. Because they have a couple months left to rip that sucker out, they wouldn't bother doing it with the snow everywhere. The same talk was centered around the station meaning something, then that got torn down. The park isn't going to miss this opportunity to expand outward more. They have a great area of land there and they won't just block it off with another coaster. That would be extremely foolish. And I doubt that when the decision was made to retire RT, it was done so with just a new coaster in mind. They now can fix two very obnoxious dead ends in the park layout, and that's awesome!
  6. I'm actually surprised SFMM hasn't tried something like the newer models of Vekoma Jr Suspendeds. I love that they're really focused on appealing to the whole family in terms of their coaster catalogue, and I feel like an extended version of one of these could be a great addition to appeal to families. Anyway, cool to see them focusing on the whole family!
  7. A multi-level dark ride with an epic haunted house exterior solves all problems.
  8. Random aside, the construction schedule for this coaster has been brilliant because not only are they making great progress, but they had the most visible portion of the ride built for the end of the season. Not only did that give guests a reason to immediately start planning a return trip in the spring, it gave regulars a lot to talk about in the off-season because they actually got to see parts of the ride in person. A lot of seasonal parks don't have the opportunity to work on that kind of timetable, so props to KI for being ahead of the game. I'm sure someone said it already, but I hadn't seen any posts about it in the parts of the thread I've kept up with. Plus construction schedules like this give us more to talk about in the early stages of the off season!
  9. Awesome update! It's great to see just how much love the Legoland parks have been getting in recent years. Great upgrade to a ride that existed before the park did, and the fact that they feel comfortable building a hotel means they're pulling in great numbers! Really glad to see this kind of expansion from the Lego parks.
  10. The video this year was fantastic! The format was fresh, the questions and answers were fun, and we still learned a few really interesting things. So glad you took a risk on changing things up, because it paid off so well! Loved hearing about the coaster on balloons, it's always fascinating to hear about clients like that, and everyone (well, ALMOST everyone) was really genuine and their passion was so evident! I hope we get to hear more about the next gen 4th Dimension coaster, because that vine clip was awesome! I'd love to hear about what S&S has done to simplify the design and how they see it competing with something a little less expensive like B&M's wing coaster. It already looks like a blast, and I'm sure it's a hell of a lot smoother with that new track design. Great coverage as always. Keep trying new things, because it's really fun to see things in a new light this year!
  11. 50 million of the budget is probably Robert Downey Jr's fee. In all seriousness though, it looks awesome! Everyone was, and still is, over the moon about the new version of Star Tours. It was a huge win for the company and so even if this is based on a similar idea, I think we can all expect the execution to be stellar!
  12. Thanks Robb! Looks like a fun ride for it's size and layout. Probably not the best capacity choice for a park like SFMM, but I'm sure a lot of people will really enjoy it! It's a cool concept that I'd love to see other parks expand upon.
  13. Or maybe it will have a completely different theme than Blazing Fury, and people are just using it as an understandable example of what style dark ride to expect! That'd be my guess anyway.
  14. I'd love to hear the comparison of these to the El Locos, which seem like a much better interpretation of the concept. I feel like S&S definitely learned a lot from the Screamin Squirrel. I'd definitely want to pop an advil or two before riding Sequoia Adventure.
  15. Fantastic videos! That was amazing of them to share something like that with not only the group, but the rest of TPR as well! I learned a ton from just the trip report, so I can't imagine what being there must have been like!
  16. My only question is whether we have to pay for park admission or not. Because I would love to do it at Kings Dominion as I've never been, but if we have to pay for admission I might as well go as a guest. Even then, this is an awesome opportunity for everyone to do something fun on some of the best rides, and it's really fantastic of the Travel Channel to reach out to you Robb!
  17. There are very few places in the US where you could put a coaster and have a view that spectacular.
  18. Also, whoever was talking about the catch car, at least one of them is now installed as can be seen in the photos above. Progress!
  19. Looks like an awesome ride! I really hope more parks invest in these.
