Robb & Elissa's Transatlantic Cruise!

Dear Jesus, Thank you for this kind refurbishment of a great woodie. I hope that whatever change comes to Giant doesnt cause it to splinter my ribs anymore than is has already Amen Seriously tho, thank God giant is getting some love. I remember when I first rode it it was actually somewhat enjoyable. Over the years tho the aging has become apparent, and the last time I went to SFOT I didnt even get on the damn thing. When I got back to my house tho I watched an onride video on youtube (lol...), and it made me realize how awesome giant would be if only it was smooth...Wish granted... this news made me a very happy boy

Blue Fire looks simply great. I think the restraints are the most interesting part. I remember when looping coasters came out & they all had over-the-shoulder restraints. Now this ride comes out & offers so much freedom, awesomeness Great pics Hanno! -

Cruising with Theme Park Review 2008!

"santa f*cks a cruise ship" Ive always wanted to go on a cruise...that seafood entree sounded good too R&E, lemme know when you do one next! -
My first reaction to the front page of TPR was very adolescence-y: OH COME ON!!!!! My uncle owns a beach house in Sunset Beach, NC (for those who know the area its very close by), and I made a pilgrimage out to Hard Rock Park and I really enjoyed it! Downside was there was absolutely no one in the park the day I went, there were parts of the park that had NO ONE in them...It felt like a ghost park and it was brand new! Maybe the reason for the bankruptcy is the lack of a proper demographic for a major theme park. Myrtle Beach Pavilion I think had the right idea up until it was closed down, because I went there and it was always busy. Here's to prayin Hard Rock Park turns it around, such a good park plagued by problems beyond managements control...pity

135 feet tall?? I really like how simple the tower is. Its not like all the other splash towers with the big clanky lifts and slow turn arounds. Pilgrims Plunge looks very clean in comparison but dear lord thats going to be a massive wave....im thinkin the entire queue/ride area is drenched everytime a car goes through -

Wow...that ride looks awesome, and the video was great! I have one question though: Is it relatively smooth? I know GG woodies are awesome and intense and all that, but Voyage felt like it was tearing itself apart, and Hades has one turn that cracked my chest cavity; is that just Gravity Groups style? Or have those been (not really) bad apples in the GG Tree? Eitherway, awesome video! NINETY DEGREES!!!!!11!1!!11!1!1!!! -
You had a Norton Anthology for English Lit. didnt you...I had one for AP Eng, I can spot that dreaded thing from ANYWHERE. anyways...I loved Rumblah, it was just such a fun ride, ESPECIALLY in the front. Great TR!

What is the coolest coaster name?
TexTitan01 replied to Hilltopper39's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
4 words, and Im appalled they havent given a coaster this name: FLAMING BAG OF POO But seriously? I think Behemoth is pretty cool. A little typical, but I like it -

2004 Saturn Ion = fail 2008 Saturn Astra = pass that is all... Dominator looks great! In most cases the mismatched colors would look rather half-a$$, but here it kinda works. I've always liked floorlesses, and I'm happy that I now have two within reach! Thanks for the photos! -

Hey Clemson Athlete. I dont think you own enough Clemson stuff...maybe you should get more, HAH moving right along... I didnt know there were so many parks in the deep south. I thought it was just SGoG, Dollywood, the Florida bunch and that was it. Cool...great TR! -
Rock Hill Adventure Park
TexTitan01 replied to Pufferfish's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Sorry to continue the string of bad comments, but although the scenery for the entrance is alright, thats where it ends. The rides and footpaths beyond the main plaza seem too effortless and they feel like they were just plopped down unrealisticly. Also, none of the rides have any major theming elements besides the station buildings, which themselves couldnt hurt to be spruced up more. Just building tunnels around the drop points and building fences and such around the paths could make it better (see my parks in my thread for what I mean). On the upside the park isnt crazy sprawled out, and I like the woodie you have. I just think the park could use a little green effect. -
Trio of RCT2 parks
TexTitan01 replied to TexTitan01's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
yes, pics would be nice, wouldnt they? SCR4.BMP Mogadishu Adventure Park SCR1.BMP Sunset Beach Boardwalk SCR2.BMP Roman Gardens -
So, I've been working on a trio of parks for RCT2, since I finally have some free time with high school winding down ('08!!!). Each park is a different theme with different landscaping, scenery, etc. All the parks have custom designed rides, but not all the coasters in each park have E>I>N (I think that the Boardwalk is the only park to do that...) Anyways: Sunset Beach Boardwalk: This is a park for which the template was originally downloaded for a contest on another site. I forget which, and its probably done, but this is the first of the 3 parks I worked on. It has a good collection of coasters and flats that are all packed into each other in a style similar to Indiana Beach. Overall I'm happy with it, but it does have its flaws: Not much landscaping Mogadishu Adventure Park After flubbing on the landscaping on the first park. I developed a jungle-style theme park that had plenty of landscaping and TREES. It turned out pretty well, and I like what I did with it. Howerer I flubbed on the inventions set-up in the scenario designer, and put in hardly any flats... Roman Gardens Since I still hadnt developed a relatively perfect park, I created this park in hopes of developing a park that can turn a massive profit. This one is classical/roman themed (my favorite...because its easy!), and has a healthy amount of themeing and proper ride selection. Some of the coasters are a little intense, but on the whole this park is the best combination of scenery and rides; though the scenery might be a little bland for some... Note: Eos was the Goddess of Dawn, and mothered the two winds, Jetta and Passat, in Greek mythology; so the parks coasters are not just Volkswagen coaster-naming fest! Edit: Note2: worth mentioning, Roman Gardens requires Time Twisters So yea...let me know which one y'all like! --Tex Roman Gardens.SV6 Mogadishu Adventure Park.SV6 Sunset Beach Boardwalk.SV6

Height and riding coasters...?
TexTitan01 replied to Bucket's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm 6', rather lanky, and I remember riding a Toboggan that was absolutely terrifying. It felt like I was riding a cage and that at any time a bump in the track would snap my legs like toothpicks... very not good
