PTR: Chuck does a Ghetto Fair
TexTitan01 replied to hifalling's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow that looked like an awesome time. We have a festival like that here on the East Coast called Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival. And apparently its kind of a big deal: school is shut down for 2 days, the entire downtown (not much...) of my city is turned into a midway, and we have atleast 100k+ people come in...to a town that can barely support 25,000! Oh, and NO ONE in the town takes a sober breath for 4 days! but anyways, nice TR Chuck. I thought it looked like a really nice fair/carnival. the Agriculture Expo seems like one of those things that people in the Tulare area would be only ones (besides farmers) who would know and be proud of the fact they have the largest agriculture expo in the world, Too bad there werent any seagulls around; that wouldave made the TR priceless -

Aww....poor chris ending up with the psycho fish skewers> I wouldave swipped some from Dan... his looked AMAAZING. Mitsui Greenland looks like an awesome park. I wish I couldave done the Japan trip, But I went to the midwest instead, which is still fresh in my mind (oh, the raftride ) Good to know everythings going great; and It looked like that typhoon passed already (or hadnt hit yet) because the Sky above Mitsui Greenland looked crystal clear! --Tex -
Oh my lord Terry....these TRs are too funny! It cracks me up that you made all the parents clear out of the kiddie area @ CP, I love that one girls expression in the background; she's like "mommy...whats that man doing to Charlie?!?" I could say so many more things about how funny this TR is; but I'll leave you with this: You're young once, but you are immature forever! --Tex

^^^umm.....NONE. My uncle's a neurosurgeon and he tells me people who undergo surgery are hospitalized for a good week or 2, just so this kind of thing DOESNT happen and so he doesnt get sued for malpractice (which is happening more & more...) I bet the family (not to be apathetic) just threw a story together about how he died, and they probably thought the only real root for the cause of his injury was the coaster. Hell he couldave tripped over uneven pavement and that couldave caused it; they just wanted to make a scene... -
Has anyone stopped to think about what Nantimi stated the price was? Nantimi stated the ride was going to cost $12.1M, which could equal to: Hyper coaster (Ride of Steel @ DL costs $12M) PnP woodie (Balder costs $10M, so maybe something of a little larger scale) Something of the inverted sort...because those cant cost more than $10M anyways (cant find a price anywhere...) I doubt that cleared anything up, but it was just an showing of what $12.1M can and cant buy you... Like I doubt we'll see Milf 2.0 gettin built...

The Best Woodie under 75 feet Tall
TexTitan01 replied to MagnumForce's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cornball is pretty friggin good Cyclops is just INSANE (but i think elevation-wise it's a little north of 75 ft.) and also, Judge Roy Scream (SFoT), coming in at 70ft., is one of the better ones. It doesnt really stick out, but it is a genuinely fun ride, with great speed and airtime (in parts...). It's gotten a little fiestier with age, but it's still one of my favorite woodies. Oh, and it was my first coaster -
I just creamed myself when I saw the photo of the Lamborghini AND the Bentley. wow, Dubai is really going all out on the tourism industry. I cant believe how much they already have and they're STILL building! They really arent taking any chances on this oil-industry-dying-out thing. When the rest of the world is in the midst of war over the last few drops of Oil, people in U.A.E will be sittin in the Burj Al-Arab and Dubai Land and their little palm tree island cabanas and be like "...thats right, bitches. WE saw it comin "

aww... the trips over...but DAMN what a fun day we had @ KI! I think that was one of the best ways to end the trip. Between TPR breaking Face-off, and the night rides on Beast (which I thought wasnt that bad...), that was probably the best way to end the trip. I'm still so glad I was able to go on it and meet such awesome people. Cant wait to see y'all in Europe next year! --Tex -

at half those pics. I think thats the funniest face I've ever seen on Elissa, she looks like she was getting botox injections while on Steel Phantom! And I'm so honored my photo of Chris was given the title of "Most amazing photo ever taken" Kennywood was a really awesome park, I loved how homey and family friendly it was. Unfortunately, I was all "aww. the trips almost over... " half the day, but I still had fun! -

To answer your question, the sound, yes it was. In the CGI visualization there were certain bits of theming that arent there. The tunnel over the turn before the twisted horseshoe, that wierd mine shaft thingy over one of the turns, and the waterfall (yes the rock structure is there, no there's no water) @ the s-curve all arent in place... However, that doesnt mean Cedar Point doesnt have plans to put them in at a later date...oh who am I kidding. Maverick'll probably never see those things put in! -

^ I would imagine, seeing as you're on the trip to begin with Wow, 4 days @ Tokyo Disneysea? that sounds awesome! I always thought that was one of the most well-themed disney parks around. Hope y'all have a safe, power-outage-&-rain-free time in Japan!
