As much of a sucky start we had @ Cedar Point (between the rain, power outage...rain...more rain), I think the time there was one of the funnest times I had on the trip. Just because we still had fun doing something besides goin around in the park, everyone had time to just hang out and enjoy each others company. By the way, those balloons Louis made were AWESOME! Wes looks like a Vampire in one of those pics...I thought he had been looking rather pale at some of the parks, I shouldave known -

well, Tmcdllr has been kinda quiet since y'all told him whats what, This ride looks pretty sweet, I always have a soft spot for B&M Hypers, I doubt the trims will be on much stronger than Goliaths trims, so there's still hope for some airtime over those hills. The new trains look....eh, we'll see if they can pull the 1 x 2 x 1 arrangement better than Vekoma. I just wanna know what was wrong with the original trains. I thought they were fairly accomodating to mass crowds, and they looked DOMINATING when they were in action. Maybe, since this is just a prototype, people will give it iffy reviews, so B&M will go back to the original trains to keep their perfect track record with the GP. Hooray new B&Ms! -
^^^umm..yea, LMFAO!!!!!!! yea, me & christiana had quite a bit of fun tryin to cram as many people (2) into that microcloset as possible, things got...interesting, to say the least. Especially with the apparatus Casey, I'm still not used to you callin me by my actual name, its so wierd not to be addressed as "Tex"!

I was very pleased with the hot Q-bot action we got on the trip. It definately helped me in getting my credits (even though the storm beat me to whizzer...). Oh, and a note about the ERT session we had: TOTALLY KICK A$$!!! I seriously only moved out of my seat to either go from Raging Bull to Viper to Giant Drop, or to go from the front to the back on Raging Bull! It was so awesome! I love ERT.... -
Best maker of wooden roller coasters?
TexTitan01 replied to RIP Psyclone's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I honestly think that if you are looking for a traditional, airtime filled, just plain fun woodie: Great Coasters Inc. is the way to go. I've been on most of their coasters and I can honestly say I havent been on a wooden coaster that I've had as much pure fun on. Voyage and Hades are fun rides, but they're like uber intense, and are only fun for 2 or 3 rides; but I could ride Kentucky Rumbler or Lightning Racer allll day long. But it is worth mentioning I havent yet done an Intamin woodie, so I dont know how those are -
http://www.screamscape.com/html/busch_gardens_europe.htm Looks pretty interesting, hopefully there wont be some lawsuit that rises up because it was too scary. Then again, you have to go in willingly. I remember when I used to live in Dallas there was a privately owned haunted house that was like genuinely horrifying to go through, with like pig-blood splattered everywhere, etc., I wonder if this new area will be along similar lines... Should be interesting, hopefully I can make it out at some point and get the $hit scared out of me

Cora's Midwest Sketchbook TR!
TexTitan01 replied to Roy56's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, I'm feeling that a little bit too. I dont know how but the sketches seem so much more..memorable, I think thats the right word...than actual photos of the parks. Oh, and I love the one about the power outage @ CP, I couldave sworn I saw those twin girls in one of the hallways, saying: "hello, tex.....come play with us.....come play with us, tex! forever....and ever....and EVER" eww...I just creeped myself out by typing that.... but yea, Cora you've made some great sketches that bring back even more greater memories, cant wait to see the A-Team "family" Raft Ride of Death! -

^^ absolutely, I tried to get my camera out to get picture, but I was dripping wet and didnt want to ruin it, I shouldave taken the risk! It truly was a marvel of waterpark history, like when the water stopped, it STOPPED. Like not even a trickle of anything got down! Lord that was probably one of the most memorable moments of the trip. -

that last picture perfectly describes how our time @ mt. O was = ALL ABOUT BRYAN!! Mt. O really was an awesome park...minus the chicks @ the Hades station kickin us out when they already had canceled our ERT... But oh well, Mt. O is still awesome. Especially those "family raft slides". FAMILY MY A-- those things were intense! oh, by the way...Robb...SUCK DOWN THAT GYROS WITH JALAPENOS!! -
^Matteo, Hershey Park is roughly the size of SFKK, to compare to. Actually, that Dive Machine theory makes sense. I'm not sure about it being themed to diving, but it's true. Whats better than 10 coasters? 11! So maybe it wont have the most inversion, but it'll bring 11 coasters to the park. I hope it isnt a clone though, maybe it'll just one-up Griffon and have the most inversions (and something besides an immelmann) Hopefully it'll be something good!
-
^OH HELL YEA!!!!! Actually, and it says this on screamscapes, maybe its been brought up here, it came to the attention of the screamscape lords that the coaster with the most inversions in the world has 10, so maybe Hershey will be the home to the coaster with the most inversions in the world. After all, Stormrunner was a hit, why not trust intamin to make another grand slam coaster?

WOW, Hanno you never cease to amaze me, that last picture is such a lucky shot! Were you like standing there for hours just waiting? I think its awesome how you manage to get everyone in atleast one photo, which totally eliminates that "same 10 people" problem How's it goin bryan? -
SheiKra Having Issues?
TexTitan01 replied to gatorchomp83's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My question is this: Whats going on with Griffon that is isnt having these troubles? Is it because Griffon has 10 seats per row as opposed to SheiKras 8? Or is it because Griffon was designed to have floorless trains while SheiKra was like "Oi...I want those floorless thingies!" Somehow, I have a feeling BGA will say "F it..." and re-floor SheiKra, which wouldnt be that terrible anyways. -
OMG!!!! http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=957342&cache=1 that would just make me claustrophobic to the max...poor lifeguards that have to watch for any children or anything like that, if you fall under the mass of people you're DONE!!

^^^she may have ditched you for IJST, but we had enough people to take an entire train, AND they played Zombie Nation on the loading platform (to keep from saying station, because that would sound gay..)! I've been to raves that werent as much fun! Sorry, Joe...you kinda missed out, but I bet Son of Beast was still........fun.........right? -

^Hmmm, Does it involve that crazy wicked storm that blew through our first day there? I've never seen anything like that before, where the cloud definition was so contrasting, it was crazy (especially the different formations the clouds made) Then again, I could be totally off, but we'll just wait & see what it is... -

holy crap...thats a hilarious video! I bet the guy working it was like "why the f--- are these 2 giant men trying to fit into an itty bitty car like this??" But atleast there was alot of cushioning for those killer drops! I still hate that ride, going up the lift made me so dam claustrophobic, I was about to freak out if the dam thing stalled or something horrible like that! -

Hmm.... This is a toughie... I honestly Think it comes down to either Alpie, for its wicked fast zero-G roll then corkscrew right above and around the scenery/log flume; or Raptor, for those wicked ass helices and corkscrews. I gotta go with Raptor, but Alpengeist is a dam close second -
