  1. Say it right- Nelly Furtado I swear she is the most beautiful singer EVER
  2. Here's a few first/ middle/ last name combos i can think of that would be pretty: Kathryn Maria Alvey Toni Elise Alvey Megan Elizabeth (My sisters name!) Alvey Paula Danielle Alvey hope I win that bag 'o crap!
  3. And the Choir said, Amen. Six Flags just isnt a place for grand spectacular night shows, because like you said, people are tired from walking around all day. I know if it was me and my family I would just get a few night rides in and go home if the park had extra hours, probably under the idea that people would be at the show and not in line. But maybe thats what Six Flags is trying to do, maybe they're going from day park to resort destination. Isnt SFGAdv getting a hotel anyhow? I think that eventually, in the eies of Shapiro Six Flags could be like a new age resort chain that has parks all over the US with everything people would want. However, if that is his dream, he's starting at the wrong end of the chain. Though I would be even less happy if SFoT was just getting a hotel!
  4. "If you thought this year was big, wait til you see what we have in the 2007 season!" I'm gonna cry.... THIS IS NOT BIG!!! A new fancy circus show is the LAST thing SFoT needs, it alread has like 3 places where shows can be performed! It's not the theatre capital of the world, its the entertainment! And I dont know about you, but I see more entertainment in a new ride or something like that than seeing some crack-pot acrobat hang from a stick. Wait, maybe this is shapiros plan, make all the teenagers die off and lose interest so the families are the only ones coming to the park! It's working!
  5. You take some very good photos for being only 11! I remember at that age if I was given a camera I'd take pictures of my foot or something I laughed at the knotts employee with the revolver. If it were me I'd be bookin it back to my car if I saw that guy! Will you be tagging along on the Midwest Trip?
  6. I played dreamcast last night, it was pretty fun. We played like Toy Soldiers and some Micro Machine Combat-Type game. My friend was thinking he could totally destroy me, not knowing i have experience in gaming. I totally blew him away...it was nice
  7. yetiball has a myspace? I LOVE IT He is so infinetly cooler now!
  8. So it isnt an Intamin? What a buzzkill, you really had me going
  9. Wow that looks like a very cool ride! I never knew this one existed before today, it was a nice little pick-me up for the rainy weather Im getting RCDB has Capitale Express listed as a mack...
  10. Well SFoT already has 2 pretty good woodies, so Unless it's an Intamin Prefab I think its highley unlikely. There arent many options other than a giant flat, a B&M of some kind, or an Intamin of some kind. A water ride wouldnt be possible since Hurricane Harbor is a separate park on the other side of the freeway. I'm split between a flat and a rocket coaster, but I'm just happy that SFoT is finally getting another thrill ride/coaster. post 300! w00t!!!
  11. ^I actually think SFoT was one of the parks where the family park atmosphere actually clicked. The 10 rides they got this year probably did draw more crowds. Maybe Shapiro is loosening the policy on SFoT and any other parks where things worked for the better. Also, SFoT has had a bit of a thrill drought, with the last big crowd puller coming in '03 (Superman: Tower of Power). I'm sure there are CEOs @ SF that think its time for SFoT to get a new toy. Yes, there are other parks where there have been longer spans between new rides. I remember hearing something that SFKK was getting a new water ride of some new kind.
  12. ^SFGAdv has B&R, but they got Ka... Theres only one other rocket coaster (mentioned above) in the SF chain; and as far as I know it can be a pretty good deal getting one, once it gets broken in and doesnt break down every 2 days. Besides, Rocket coasters seem to be a hot item in the market today, maybe SFoT is the next park to get one.
  13. Oh boy...So they're taking bids on all the parks as one big package? for 800M? Sounds like this issue may be resolved quicker than I first thought, and the fact that from what I've seen they've only recieved bids from fellow park-chains seems to be very promising
  14. ^OMG MY EYES!!!!! I've always thought Dollywood would have a good christmas event, this PTR just confirmed my thoughts. I just looks so homey during the holiday season...Too bad I'm like 9 hours away...
  15. Not to bring up the space debate again but where would they put a pair of dueling woodies? As far as I know, SFoT probably needs a compact/cheap/reliable people-mover. I'm pretty sure there are a couple places that dot the edge of the park boundaries where SFoT could maybe squeeze something in... How 'bout we all just wait 'til monday?
  16. ^ yes, long live the helix-that-makes-titan-so-much-better-than-goliath! Could a rocket coaster really be a possibility? I thought they might be a ways out of Six Flags budget. I'm just trying to think from a park manager's standpoint of what they could and couldnt afford. If I do recall correctly B&Ms are pretty expensive, so I dont think a B&M will be the ticket this time around... Man, if SFoT gets a rocket...
  17. They added: -water-play zone -zamperla rockin' boat type thing -troika -inverter ship -bull themed breakdance -zamperla balloon ride -scrambler -zamperla batwing -teacups ride -zamperla boot scoot Most of those are kiddie rides, but it definately scored well with the families that come there, and they always had the right amount of staff @ each, the ones working the troika made us sing! However there definately was something left to be desired from the thrill-seeker point of view... B&M Flyer? YES PLEASE !!!
  18. Well I'd love to stay and chat, but you're a total bitch
  19. For my homepark of SFoT, I believe that shapiro did a pretty good job @ achieving his goal. I'm not sure if it was the 10 new flat rides or the actual corporate improvements, but SFoT definately seemed alot more family friendly. I remember waiting in line for Titan I saw a family of 4 (typical mother, father, and 2 kids who I'm guessing were ages 6-8 ) walking towards the scrambler they put up by Titan just having a grand old time. I didnt hear any complaints or any sort of rulebreaking, and all I saw were people just enjoying themselves @ the park. Of course that was last memorial day, who know's how it's doing now.
  20. I think that may be because Shapiro has a figurative brick wall behind him. New large-scale roller coasters cost more than SFoT probably has a budget for, and all those other promises Shapiro made, they didnt really have any sort of direct financial consequence. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong, but I'm still callin it a large-scale flat ride
