  1. Great report, Robb; I really enjoyed Little Ammericka, even though it was only meant to be a surprise bonus park on the way to the Dells, I had alot of fun. That toboggan though....it scarred me (ohhh...the SQUISHING...) Again, great TR; I cant wait to see how the rest of them come out!
  2. I drive a 2002 Kia Optima LX V6, it has 60,145mi. on it, and it's a landlord with hustle! Yes its a Kia, but I find it very spacious and easy to move around town in Here she is, my little green monster. My moms '06 Jeep Liberty Limited 4x4 is shown next to it RAWR....bitch
  3. umm, he asked if you liked eggs, lol yes; do you own atleast one piece of clothing from AE/Hollister/Aeropostale?
  4. wait... Phantoms Revenge has TRIMS? where? I didnty even notice them! They probably shouldave been on though, because I felt that last double down rearrange my spine... As rough as Beast @ KI was, I actually enjoyed it a little bit. I was definately hemorraging or something while riding, but it was still a fun ride. Maybe because I knew it was the last ride of the trip and I was having too much fun to care about the roughness. It really goes out into the middle of those woods though, like the Raven, only longer and rougher. R&E, thank you so much for planning an awesome trip for us!
  5. That was a very nice TR, I like whenever people do reports of stuff other than just straight coasters when the travel abroad. It lets all of us homegrounded peeps know what the rest of the world is like! Your poor friend, if someone took me out of my comfort zone like you did to him, I'd flip out! but I bet he did the same again, nice TR!
  6. That was interesting, I always wondered whether Amanda Thompson was either a cold-hard nazi, or if she was bluntly looking out for the best interest of Blackpool, seems like the latter. To defend Blackpools current state I believe that sometimes the hen-parties and drunken stag (I think those were words the article used) may create a bit of nostalgia forsome, reminding them of a blackpool from the roaring twenties where the whole town was in the midst of a party year-round. Then again, it is time for change, It seems as though there is little room for expansion and much room for renovation. I think that if they were to restore wearing buildings and streets, the city would look much nicer. That super-casino idea doesnt sound bad either. Hopefully it will all work out
  7. Good TR, Scaparri, I actually really liked strickers, it was a good little park. Too bad its only open to the GP 2 days of the year Still, it was a very enjoyable park. Thanks for comin out to see us!
  8. The last coaster I rode was Beast @ KI, doin night rides with the Midwest Trip, I swear that ride made me hemorrage something wicked...I dont think I know math anymore...
  9. ^ Im confused too, maybe something with the mechanics that keep the on the actual hub. What probably happened is with the combo of swaying freely and the ride suddenly stopping, it maybe have been enough to flip the car over...then again I could be totally off That really sucks though, a family trying to have a nice outing at the fair ends up at the heart of a tragedy. The world needs to be as hard-assed about fair regulations as the US is!
  10. This is MAMA TEX, Charlie's mom. I'm a little worried about him returning to a normal life, where there is only a car to drive and no roller coasters rides in the near future. Only his Senior Year of High School. How should I prepare for his return? Should I line up some garbage cans, purchase a donkey, record some ear piercing screams, steal some dorky looking statues to put in his room? Help! I know he had a blast and thanks to all for a great trip. Please share any advice for post-morteum TPR trips... Robb and Elissa, I hope one day to meet you guys. Mama Tex.
  11. Does anyone else think that Nadia looks like Meadow Soprano?
  12. Hi! This is Tex's Mom (Are you all really calling him TEX???) I hope Charlie is behaving himself and you are all drinking plenty of water. Robb and Elissa, thanks for the updates, and the pictures. I enjoy the ones with that guy and his tour of statues and of course any pictures that Charlie is in! Have fun!
  13. Nice TR. I was wanting to get out to see what the Boardwalk was like, now I know. I've always loved those nostaglic-type parks, make me feel more relaxed. I had that same problem with uploading photos in the proper order for my SFA report, the directions for how to upload are kind of confusing, I think... oh, and ..psst...its the Hershey Hotel...not Hershey School... Thanks for giving an insight into the boardwalk!
  14. thats the best idea for a scavenger hunt ever! Not to mention the best time to hold it! I wish there was something of the equivalent on the east coast (there probably is...but I just dont know about it...) Great TR!
  15. ^ Uh..yea, bad move putting the URL on. Thats like taking out someones car windows and leaving a note "I had a bad day, your car suffered for it! ###-###-#### (< phone number) Hopefully it wasnt like they had a huge roll and they slapped one on everything they saw... really though...bad move
  16. wow those pics were really good, I especially liked the ones that were close up so you could see everyone on the rides' faces. There was one string of pics where there was a little kid on the outside right seat in a yellow shirt, , he looked like he was having a mental breakdown! (or he was just scared $hitless...)
  17. ^ on our way to SFA, my mom was telling me how she worked for the contracting company that built the wave pool in the waterpark, and how she was like THE first person in it. She told me her boss let her and a few others in the day before it opened. I thought it was pretty cool
  18. I thought it was good, but it was just really rattly; and the PTCs dont usually do well on track that can take Millenium Flyers much better. Also, I had just ridden Mind Eraser, so I had that mindset going on.
  19. So... it was the night of my prom, and I told my mother I needed to go somehwere where I wouldnt mope about not going. She told me that there were infact 3 parks within a 2 hour drive of my house: Hersheypark, Kings Dominion, and Six Flags America. I had been to the former 2, so I thought SFA would be the best one to go to. The day started off rainy and not like a day to goto a themepark. But as we got closer to DC the rain started to wither away. I got to the park @ around 2:30, bought my ticket, and went inside. On my way inside the park I was asked if I wanted to take advantage of FREE SEASON PASS day. However, the line for processing was out the door, so I decided to wait until closing to claim my goodies. Anyways onto the pics! And now I end this trip report in true TPR fashion, thanks for reading! And incase you didnt believe me about the free season pass, KISS IT! On the way out there was a slew of ride-ops that came together and did a show for people at closing, alot of people started to get into the dance with them too! SFA, I approve of your reforms! In the end, all the cars of the second train of Superman were reunited, and they lived happily ever after Batwing gets the dorky face of approval, and I approve! Batwing @ sunset, complete with a sexy shilouette "woosh" goes the Batwing train..."OH $HIT!! OH $HIT!!!!" go the riders on said train Batwing, through the queue cover! but it was actually really good! AND smooth as a babys bottom! Now, having just come off of Two-Face, AND riding a lovely Vekoma SLC for the first time earlier today, I wasnt expecting much from this that poor man is in for a hell of a headache tomorrow! How's it goin Derek? ow...ow...ow...ow... Oh boy....more painful Vekoma credits Superman gets the Tex thumbs up! Superman...through Superman! and an unfocused fence! Airtime>prom Obligatory Lift hill shot Unfortunately, as with the rest of the rides (except for the woodies), there was 1 train operation on Superman because it was missing half itself...:'( Off in the distance, riders are about to get a Airtime and Bologna sandwich of fun! Yummy bunny hill goodness...BOO TRIM BRAKES SUPERMAN Umm...can you say...RIPOFF? Now, for what everyone has been waiting for.... One more set of Wild One lore! Wild One carriers riders into the twilight, which made lighting horrible for this shot! The real Slim-shady Wild One train Wild One...I mean...Giant Coaster lore! When good angles go bad, damn that handrail! Wild One, it all its deformed but unusually smooth drop splendor Wild One dominates the skyline from this point in the park, until you get behind it, then Superman says to Wild One: OWNED BIOOOOTCH!! This was the "new" Skull Mountain watercoaster, that wasnt even open! This is tweety, I wont him from one of those "guess your weight" games. He kept me company as I wandered the park alone...:'( I saw alot of these around the park, security guards and rideops even enforced them! wheee (the people on this car win the award for biggest screamers) I think I can get both Elissa and Lou all hot & bothered by this pic Another train of happy-ish (look @ the two in the front!) riders comes back to the station This was actually really fun, and it was smooth too. Right about then, after Mind Eraser & Roar...I needed somethin smooth and unabusive Jokers Jinx goes: "nyeheheheheh" New for the park was a Wii Hut, which often had a crowd outside (guy on the right is lovin an excuse to check himself out...lol) A couple of weeks ago today, a horde of Rabid California Monkeys stood at this very spot and took a picture similar to this one...creeeeepy Mind Eraser gets the Tex face of dissaproval, because I dissaprove of hang & bang SLCs A picture is worth a thousand words, but this one says only 3: hang and bang Another train of riders gets ready to plummet to their death... First credit of the season....ohh boy... They had a few more shows this year, including Desperate Horsethieves! Off in the distance, 2 of the 5 reasons I chose SFA over Hersheypark of Kings Dominion stand proudly You can see the (new?) waterpark from the front gate, and it looked verrrrry inviting however, it cleared up as we got closer to DC This TR shall start with a beautiful shot of my pride & joy (and transportation): Kiki the Green Monster!
  20. I noticed that too, was it just one train that was missing them? or one side of one train?
  21. When I first found out about this, I thought I would have to pass it up since its on relatively short notice, and it would probably be a sour note to play for my mother; who I just had to put through my telling her about my dad getting me a new car (if that made any sense (look for a photo TR about the car later)). But she snooped around on my computer and found out about this, so she is saying that I could maybe go... Usually with her maybe's turn to yesses, so I think I might be able to make it out. What does that make now, 43 people going? What a crowd!
  22. They have ones like these @ Hurricane Harbor in Arlington, TX (shotgun falls), and those suckers are WELL above 10 feet off the ground! I love them
  23. Could it just be that the banner @ the top of the web page is active? If you look all the rides @ the top actually operate. Probably not what they're talking about. It looks cool though
  24. Wow, this is such great news! Kristen looks like a beautiful baby. Robb...you were @ LEGOLAND? Knott's or SFMM I couldave understood (unless they're not in season), but Legoland? I'm so happy for both of you, the next few years are going to bring you so much joy...My best wished to all 3 of you; and Kristen, I'll see YOU on the Midwest trip! And to follow suit with everyone else, Congratulations! EDIT: Forgot to ask. Elissa, whats the first thing you're going to since you're not pregnant? A. SLEEP B. get on the nearest Intamin and marathon for 2+ hours C. both A & B
  25. I cant wait to see the gunmetal train, but I think that just seeing them all run around the Maverick course will be the most beautiful thing.
