alpengeistfan1 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 First drop on El Toro, one of the best ever.
coasterhockey1616 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Since when was there a SECOND DROP on TTD??? Did you mean Millennium Force?? i was beind sarcastic
greenspandan Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 the first drop in the back seat of Intimidator 305 is absolute heaven. it's basically MF's first drop, only steeper and with more of an airtime pop at the top (which is sustained all the way down).
Ejectorbater Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Jubilee Odyssey and Oblivion. I am really interested in the experience that Jubilee Odyssey provides. I can't believe I am saying that about an SLC
Anything Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 It is such a shame that so many enthusiasts have never had the opportunity to ride it. I live one hour away from it, but it is still not available half of the times I visit Fantasy Island. It's an even rarer credit for those of you from outside the UK. The drop is better than any other SLC by far, but the rest of the ride is pretty much what you'll be used to - it's all about the drop!
harper83087 Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 For me it's honestly a tie between MF and SFMM's Goliath. MF you get the feeling that it's never going to end but Goliath although not very steep goes on FOREVER. Both very very good. Also whoever mentioned before Tatsu's pretzel loop, one word...Yes. my emotions coming out of the egg turn and heading towards the pretzel we as follows...
A.J. Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Fahrenheit at Hersheypark has the best drop I've ever gone through.
jzoole Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 For me it's NTAG's first drop and drop coming off the MCBR, or El Toro's 1st drop. Also really love Cyclone at SFNE's fist drop, backseat. Honorable mentions to Titan/Goliath and Superman Krypton Coaster's first drops., as well as the first drop on the late Ultra Twister And lastly, I will always have a special place in my heart for the final drop on SFOT's Runaway Mine Train
socalMAN123 Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Well one of my favorites a long time ago in essentially a galaxy far, far away (seeing how much the park has changed) was the MCBR drop on Ghostrider at Knott's. But only when it was smooth and not neutered so it basically crawled over the drop. Another favorite of mine has to be Dolly's Drop on the Tomorrowland side of the Matterhorn at Disneyland. Such an insane drop.
TJ27 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I love MF's. I also like deja vu's probly the best part of the ride
IanKgtr Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I305 and MF are pretty similar drop-wise, because both of them are absolutely INSANE El Toro and Fahrenheit have given me the most ejector air over their drops, both more pronounced in the back. One really underrated drop, IMO, is the drop off the MCBR on Dominator (King's Dominion). That was the only time I've ever experienced ejector air on a B&M
extremecoasters37 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I like El Toro, Millennium Force, Maverick, Phantom's Revenge (2nd), Fahrenheit, and Alpengeist.
chasbron Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Woodie Gwazi Tiger Steel The Incredible Hulk first drop (That thing takes my breath away) Superman Ultimate Flight the first part of the pretzel loop Other Geronimo Drop at Ghost Town in the Sky
Commando Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 The first drop in the back row of Raging Bull gives epic air time. That would probably have to be my favorite.
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Wood: Definately Prowler. Steel: Maverick (anywhere in the train is great, lots of air in the back.), Millenium, Patriot.
rcdude Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 1st drop unless otherwise noted. Wood: Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain (always feels really steep for a woodie) Cyclone at Six Flags New England (insane airtime in the back car) Giant Dipper at Belmont Park (fun twisting drop) Hurler at Carowinds (only good part of the ride) Hurler at Kings Dominion (same as Carowinds version) Raven at Holiday World (5th drop-surprisingly big) Rebel Yell at Kings Dominion (4th drop-smoothest part of the ride) Roar at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (fun twisting drop) Steel: Anaconda at Kings Dominion (the underwater dive is a little different) Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg (3rd drop-the twisting dive) Desperado at Buffalo Bill's Resort and Casino (4th drop-tons of airtime) Gemini at Cedar Point (fairly steep with a good headchopper) Millennium Force at Cedar Point (feels like it goes on forever) River King Mine Train at Six Flags St. Louis (drop into tunnel at end of ride) Skull Mountain at Six Flags Great Adventure (surprisingly intense in the back car) Technic Coaster at Legoland Californa (best drop on any wild mouse)
Austin11KD Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Top Woodie Drop: El Toro! The first drop feels like you're gonna fly out of your seat and it is straight down, the airtime is insane in the back row. Top Steel Drop: Intimidator 305! This drop makes you feel like you're gonna fall out of your seat. Any row is great.
Austin11KD Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Top Woodie Drop: El Toro! The first drop feels like you're gonna fly out of your seat and it is straight down, the airtime is insane in the back row. Top Steel Drop: Nitro! This drop makes you feel like you're gonna fall out of your seat. Any row is great.
Audio111 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 The best drop I've ever experienced was El Toro in the back row. I can't even begin to describe how intense and awesome it was!!!
Zack44 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Wood: El Toro at Great Adventure, by far Steel: Toss-up between Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg (pretty much because I love the pre-drop) and Magnum at Cedar Point since it was so forceful!
MontagnaMagica Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 The best drops for me are Déjà Vu and Apocalypse, both at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
sammmmmy Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Steel: I really like goliath at SFMM. It just leaves you hanging there for what seems like forever and then the drop feels never ending! And I gotta say, Mystery Mine's is pretty insane. Wood: EL TORO. THE END.
