That's the twist. It's simply a lift hill and one drop. Then it brakes, goes inside of a shed, and you watch the rest of the ride on a large screen.

Wait until the trains got VR headsets and there's actually little to no physical theming.

Wonder if this will be similar intensity as Stary Sky Ripper !

I'm assuming being in Japan and being at one of the more mainstream parks, probably not...but you never know!

Not to change the subject but of all the products B&M offers I just find it interesting how the flyer has really taken off in Asia with this, Acrobat at Nagashima, and the various Superman clones in China. With the money they've spent on some of those newer parks they would have gone with an invert over the Vekoma SLC or the Chinese rip offs.

Wow, that is starting to look very tall? And that's a very steep lift hill for a flyer -- it make actually detract a little bit from the lift hill experience (I always thought that climbing up the superman lift hill looking straight down below was a pretty cool / slightly freaky experience on the first flyers), but understood that space is very limited there (not sure if this one will head out to the parking lot?)

Very curious to see how this one shapes out.

I'm excited to see the layout for this thing develop, fingers crossed it's not another Manta or Superman clone but considering this is Universal Japan I've got a feeling it won't be.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-09-28/comcast-to-pay-1-5-billion-for-51-of-japanese-theme-park

Comcast Corp. will acquire a 51 percent stake in Japanese theme park owner USJ Co. as the largest U.S. cable company seeks to expand its business overseas.

Comcast’s NBCUniversal unit will pay $1.5 billion for the stake in the owner of Universal Studios Japan in Osaka city, Comcast said in a statement Monday, adding USJ’s Chief Executive Officer Glenn Gumpel will step down while Goldman Sachs Group Inc., MBK Partners Ltd. and Gumpel will retain minority stakes.

Philadelphia-based Comcast, which in April dropped its bid to buy Time Warner Cable Inc. amid opposition from antitrust regulators, has been seeking growth elsewhere from digital media in the U.S. to expansion overseas. Its NBCUniversal unit, which owns Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort, has license and operating agreements with Universal Studios Japan, according to its website.

USJ, listed in 2007 but taken private by Goldman two years later as the park’s appeal faded and the number of visitors slumped, had earlier said it could seek a re-listing this year. Sales and visitor numbers at the 14-year-old Japanese theme park had hit a record high following a revamp with a new $400 million Harry Potter attraction opened last year.

^ Well, crap. Get ready for motion simulators followed by more motion simulators, Japan. It was a good run.

I just saw this on Universal Japan Twitter. We have a name for the coaster. A little odd but we have a name. (Side note: I noticed the tweet when translated stated this was part 1 of the 15th anniversary so perhaps another ride or attraction is also coming)
