Suzuka Circuit Announces Duel GP.
KingRCT3 replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I never expected it to be a thrilling ride, so I'm kinda ok with it. Still better than... Theme Park University who posted the video has a word about that: "it certainly could be a perfect ride system for a Mario Kart attraction, right? Sadly – this isn’t Universal’s Mario Kart Ride System. Whomp whomp indeed. Don’t get me wrong, the new Mario Kart attraction will be cool. The ride system just won’t be *this* particular version used at Suzuka Circuit in Japan. What will it be? I can’t give that away just yet. I promise I’ll let the cat out of the bag as soon as I get the green light." -

New pictures of Fantawild "robocoaster": From this video: This channel has some other cool videos, such as this one: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] The Legend of Nuwa is a 10-minutes (!) long dark-ride, I found a POV on Youku and re-uploaded it on Youtube for convenience: Here's another video about the AR show Fantawild is doing. Interesting concept: Fantawild have their Facebook page, featuring a video of one of their weirdest dark-ride: Facebook video I fail to integrate -

Frozen was first scheduled to go in Fantasyland actually, but I don't really know where exactly. -

From what I'm reading online: Yes for the Swirling Aliens attraction coming to Toy Story Playland, yes for the night-time show on the lake, and probably yes for some new attractions in the Magic Kingdom as well! -

I, for one, won't say bad things about this ride. Was it a great coaster? Maybe not, but it was definitely a cool experience. Seeing the track disappear in front of you was pretty scary, and I didn't find the up-side down parts uncomfortable. -

It's 3.8g at the bottom (assuming it's the same as Formula One), which is very forcefull indeed. I loved that inversion, it flows very well. -0.2g at the top, meaning hangtime! -

In the peculiar case of Wildfire, Vekoma built the steel structure for the lift. But otherwise, Wildfire is a RMC and Vekoma is only a dealer. -
The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

Here is Jump Car, a concept I put together yesterday. This is a spring-loaded vehicle, that "jumps" when you get airtime. It makes you feel like you're going off-the-track, and provides a cartoonish latency in the physics. -

I asked someone who works at Mack, and he confirmed Mack does their precise 3D trackwork in-house, so CSM did not produce the track for Helix. For DVH I don't know. Maybe they only did the columns and "forgot" to mention it (like with Helix), maybe they also did the track. -

Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
KingRCT3 replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ In the other hand, DLP's Big Thunder Mountain has a truly awesome ending. The rush through the tunnel is incredible, you go up to 65kph (while Space Mountain tops at 70...) and thanks to the wind you definitely feel like you're going faster than that. Then, the ultimate move is a hop from the tunnel, with a pop of air for the first rows... Amazing ending within an amazing ride. -

It seems CSM have produced track for Mack a few times. And worked on Pulsar and Helix. Kind of like how Stakotra produce track for Intamin. https://www.csm.be/nl/productgroepen/pretparkattracties/ CSM did the track for Pulsar, but only the supports for Helix and Blue Fire. That mean they have produced 1D track (track that bent in one direction at a time) but not yet 3D track. This require another level of skill and machinery. If Efteling trust them I am sure we can too, but yeah, that looks like a bold bet. -

Wait - that's not what I would call a reliable source. If they do that I'll be pretty bummed. Rock'n'Roller Coaster was a better choice for a GotG upgrade! There's already the random musics, a coaster allows more flexibility than ToT, the Aerosmith theming is dated, etc. If they lose the Twilight Zone license, they can still have a story based on an haunted hotel that's not a problem. But to shoe-horn GotG into that... And our ToT is the front emblem of the WDS, the first thing you see when you arrive. Having that giant warehouse welcoming you isn't the most thrilling thing, especially as we can't develop a proper Marvel area around it (or we have to re-do the whole park). -

An interesting documentary on Alpina Blitz (in french with english sub) featuring an interview with Rodolphe Gélis. He's really genuine and you can feel the family's passion for their park. It's a business but they want to do it good. There is also a part that shows the daily routine before the opening. -

What, you mean the picture or we can download a 3D file? Thanks for the complete report, this is going to be some good years for Walibi. And that was much needed. -
Aside from the giant Slidewheel, there's a mysterious pink track. Since this is the Gerstlauer factory (Musterhausen), we can be sure it's from that german manufacturer. The green Takabisha clone is still there...

And from across the pond, Megapark in Quebec is also doing a steampunk overall. Nice! Two great places, loved them both. Puy du Fou has a bunch of amazing shows- I felt 2 days are requiered, as well as seeing La Cinéscénie, but you'd have to book like 6 months prior. Also, try to ride the mecanical elephant at Les Machines... -

KingRCT3 replied to Ultracoasters's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, I think so as well. It's not really the same style. But another funny coincidence is how Disneyland Paris is dropping out the Jules Verne aspect of its Discoveryland, like as if it is an outdated theme, and at the same time, Europa Park is stepping right into it. -

One more picture of this ride found on Fantawild Holdings Inc. : This website also have various pictures and videos about other Fantawild attractions: 4D Dark-rides (Spiderman-like) Simulated-Flight Rides (weird kinda-robocoaster dark-ride, not the one I got a picture above, I've never seen something like this!) Shooting Dark-Rides (Midway Mania rip-off) Suspended Spherical Theaters (Flying Theater, but here the screen is really half a sphere, while the western variations often lack the upper half) Full dome Theater With Movable Sitting Platform (a rather impressive contraption which is a mix between a physical anminatronic show and a overhead dome screen) Fantawild also have a relatively new Youtube channel, in English, with for instance this nice video of Qin Dynasty Adventure, an Indiana-Jones rip-off:
