SeaWorld San Antonio Discussion Thread
Mrlittle replied to apollo210's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I remember this. I don't have a picture but I remember you could see a huge shark aquarium while waiting in line for Great White. Even back then, the lines were so short you did not have enough time to enjoy the sharks. I also remember the year they still had the inside queue line and they put a laser tag room where the sharks were so you could see players play. -
Well that was easy enough for me. I only went to one park last year with no new coasters. I did rank a few things different in the middle.

Just curious what do the icons next to each thread mean? I see stars, circle and then no icon. I’m sure its something simple. -

Really liking the new features. I felt dumb for how long it took me to figure out where my profile was to update my avatar. The new forum looks great on my iPhone. -
Lagoon Discussion Thread

I’ve always thought the same when looking at photos of construction. Seems out of the way. Curious how it will connect to the park. Almost looks like it could be a separate single ticket attraction where it’s located. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

It looks like a fun ride. I’ll just call it candy coaster. Looking forward to the new entrance and area as well. Side note: maybe all the locals will ride the B&M so Skyrush will have a shorter line. -
It'd probably be a good idea not to get any more involved in Galveston than they already are, things are a bit shady out there. What are you talking about? Galveston is a great city. Every city has its areas that aren’t the nicest but Galveston has really cleaned up a lot over the years. Two things have helped the city: charging for parking on the sea wall and the last hurricane destroyed some of the older buildings that needed to go. I like the idea of Cedar Fair taking over Moody Gardens. They own a lot of land next to Schlitterbahn Galveston that could be developed. I always thought it was odd they built Schlitterbahn so close to Moody gardens since they also have a (small) water park.

Well I’m excited since I live in Houston, I now have a reason to buy a Cedar Fair season pass. I go to Galveston often and only been to Schlitterbahn Galveston once mainly because of price. With Six Flags just recently taking over Splashtown, it should be fun to see which park does better in the area. I think Cedar Fair will need to add to these water parks over the years because of the amount of competition in the area. Here in Houston, there are 4 major water parks within a few hours of each other.

Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread

Looks really great. I’m so glad to see EPCOT getting so much love. -
"OK everyone just go ahead and jump. It's the only way down. Except the baby and the paralyzed person. Just leave them there. " We laugh at this but it reminded me of the girl who jumped down from a similar style of ride. I don't remember why she was hanging. I want to say it was her fault. Oh and 49 is cold https://globalnews.ca/news/3554176/girl-hangs-six-flags-amusement-park-ride/

I saw on twitter that last night some gondolas got stuck after wind caused the circuit breaker to flip. 16 people had to be rescued. It was a cold night too. Had to be tough to rescue people above water. This won’t be good for the park but glad to hear everyone was rescued eventually. https://www.google.com/amp/s/abc13.com/amp/16-people-rescued-from-gondola-ride-at-seaworld-/5144798/ I guess I’m surprised because I would of thought these kinds of rides would have a backup generator or pulley system in case something like this was to happen.
