Aceattack52
On most rides, even ones that are launched, I usually don't get any feeling of anticipation before the launch or initial drop, but on Kingda Ka I did. So for that reason alone, I would put Kingda Ka at the top of my list for rides that scared me the most.
djboss302
I may have said it before, but drop towers scare the living cr** out of me. And some launched coasters have done a good job of scaring me too, for example, I almost peed myself when I first went on TTD (I was 11).
fraroc
To be honest, the first time I rode Skyrush, I thought I was going to fall out. So many people complain about the restraints, but I just love the feeling of having absolutely nothing above you or to your sides and just being held down by your legs. I literally uncontrollably leaned over on the first drop and I thought I was going to die. What amplified the fear of falling out was that my Hershey trip was just after the Texas Giant tragedy so quite predictably I was a smidge concerned. Aceattack52
^ I have also felt like I was going to fall out of rides at times, but not once have I been scared by it. Â ^^ Drop towers used to give me the creeps, but not as much now.

It'll give you a good scare once it tilts. I'm not afraid of drop towers, and it scared me on my first ride!
cal1br3tto
On a side note, the lift hill on Tatsu is still to this day the scariest lift hill of all time in my book. Agreed: it is by far the most intimidating. Â ^The rear seat of Blue Streak will also give you a nice spine readjustment. It also tries to bust your kneecaps. FirstDropJay
There's just something about Wild Mouse rides that scares the hell out of me....
GwaziBSRider1
^^ Exactly. Even with the tilt, I'm not a huge fan of it. Dropping right onto my crotch wasn't a particularly amazing experience.
alilstronger
-Anything that drops. However at the same time that is why I love them. I love facing my fears.  -Screaming swings  -Sky screamers/Windseekers  -Coasters like Nitro (SFGAdven) or Apollo's Chariot (BGW). What scares me is there is only a lap bar so if that thing ever came loose mid ride you better hold on for dear life.  -Whenever something goes over water and I'm entrapped in a cage/ride harness. I instantly think if this thing goes into the water how am I going to get out.  -Tatsu - probably one of the scariest rides I have ever ridden. If it was on normal level ground I do not think it would be as scary but with it on top of the mountain that just heightens my fear factor. Would I ride again - of course. Its my favorite "lay down" coaster.
yay101
All drop towers scare me. But that's why I love them sooooo much! In particular, Pitt Fall at Kennywood was the scariest, since the view over the Monongahela River mde the ride seem waaaaay taller. Â In addition, Double Shots really scare me a lot, but they are so much fun! Double Shot at Indiana Beach in particular is one of my all-time favorite rides. bert425
I will NOT get on a "Top Spin" Â I'd probably be just fine on it. .but I don't like the idea of it, and have never ridden one. Â (I'm the person in the group that always stands and watches, while the rest ride).

simaticable
Drop towers scare me to death. Ironically, I really want to ride Falcon's Fury when it opens.

SFOGdude25
Drop towers get me pretty good, but Skycoasters are the worst for me. Being hoisted up to the top with nothing but a cable and harness holding you in is terrifying, and of course for that reason, I love them! It's worth it just for that initial moment of freefall when you pull the ripcord, and the swinging back and forth is pure bliss. It feels like I'm really flying! Mr Stratosphere
Hands down, Intamin First Generation FreeFalls. It was one of those things that just felt rickety and the bang and slam that happens when heading back to the station.

Aceattack52
I would be scared significantly if a cable broke on any kind of ride. Launched coaster, drop tower, ect.

arby
I am afraid of Ferris Wheels - go figure - although I still think every park should have one because I love how they look.
Woodie Warrior
Skycoasters and cable drop towers. I have no problem with air-launched towers though.
KBrylczyk
Drop Towers, SkyCoasters, Slingshots, all of that stuff is perfectly fine to me. My true foe? Â Swings. Â Not playground swings, mind you. Those are great. Wave swingers, Yo-Yos, all of their ilk. And the absolute most pure-evil form of them all...Star Flyers. Â I hate them all. But I also love them all. Even if I'm only 5 feet off of the ground I have the fear that the small chains will snap and launch me to my doom strapped into the wicker or plastic chair. Â The worst one of all, so far, is the Star Flyer at Holiday Park in Germany. It is completely surrounded by high trees. When the ride starts it's a normal Star Flyer, just going in circles really high. Then you go above the trees and WHAM! Hello, stupidly strong wind coming across the valley! It knocks the seats into a wild twisting and tilting mess of insanity that only Satan himself can muster. I was white-knuckling the safety bar harder than I ever have before while on that contraption.
Ryan P.
I love drop towers but they definitely startle me when they drop. Griffon scared the crap out of me (front row)! Just waiting to drop and then BAM straight down 200ft! I was intimidated by just the drop, but the rest of the ride is not as intense. (Still fun though)
