redfoot12
Dead coasters aren't much fun... I agree which is why I wanted to start this thread. I only have 38 credits and I was thinking about all the coasters of yore I'd never get to ride (good or bad). I hope to be able to get on Python as I still don't have an Arrow Corkscrew credit. Edit to add: Another thing that was on my mind that's somewhat related... Do most enthusiasts count a relocated coaster as a credit? For example I've already ridden Wilde Maus at BGE. When I go to BGA next month and ride Cheetah Chase, is that another credit for me?

Everyone has a way of counting credits. On one end of the spectrum is Jeff Johnson, who counts everything as a credit, and on the other hand are people who only count traditional coasters It is up to you to count Relocated coasters Dueling/racing/mobius racing coasters Water coasters Powered coasters Kiddie coasters Multiple installations of the same ride (ie. Batman, Primeval Whirl) Transformed coasters (ie. modified track, new trains) Edit: 700th post!

Three
My first will be Python. Allegedly. As for how I count credits, I actually prefer not to count clones at all. That's how I get around the whole relocation issue. If it's the exact same layout as something I've already ridden, it doesn't count. Unless it runs backwards or indoors. So the count in my sig is somewhat misleading. I actually only count 82 normally. But then, what are retarded internet bragging rights for? Thats how i used to count credits, but i changed my mind since most of the time every installation has its own small differences. Good idea thow, not counting clones. I still keep a count of the lay-outs but i focus on the "different installations" count. Maybe we should have a "how do you count" topic? Anyways sorry for the off-topic here.
