gerstlaueringvar Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Oddly they didn't modify the support to meet Japan's earthquake-proof requirements.
El Toro_Ryan Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Oddly they didn't modify the support to meet Japan's earthquake-proof requirements. I'm guessing the support design used on Manta is sufficent enough to meet the earthquake-proof requirements in Japan then. But this is only a small portion of the ride and other areas may see more rigid support designs.
matteocrepaldi Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 ^^^ Thanks for the photo! I really hope to be able to ride it this summer!

The design must meet all the requirements.
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 This is probably one of the "oh Japan" moments. 6 of the 20,000 people in SKE48
pǝʇɹǝʌuı Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Wow! This looks incredible! This past summer I had the opportunity to travel to Japan. Unfortunately I had to decide between Nagashima Spaland and Fuji-Q Highland and I chose Fuji-Q because of its lineup. This would definitely put Nagashima on the map for me if I make it back to Japan in the next few years.
tarheel1231 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Is that the height of the lift? Can't tell with Steel Dragon behind it. Oh, and SD2K, Fury 325 says hi.
BDG Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Track looks complete... photos by flex @ Coasters World
ImNotOneOfYou Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Is there a discussion thread for Nagashima Spa Land?
Nrthwnd Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 ^I found a link, to a generally named NS thread. Could be used as a Discussion Thread, too. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24404&hilit=Nagashima&start=10
BarryH Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I'm surprised the park didn't name this one "Flying Coaster."
Massdynamic Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I love the colors. They are bright and beautiful!
Paradox Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I'm surprised the park didn't name this one "Flying Coaster." Flying Coaster 1 looks too intense for me.
RMC_Hoodie Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I want to go on something more thrilling than Steel Dragon 2000.
RollerManic Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 SWO should build a SD2K clone just to get even / piss off Nagashima Spaland. Just make sure it's couple feet longer. Actually, the colors are really nice on this one.

Actually, the colors are really nice on this one. If Morgan were in business (I don't think Chance is building anything that big anytime soon)... On the other hand, SWO could piss off two birds with one stone by building the world's tallest and longest gigacoaster (the two birds being Nagashima+Cedar Fair). The PR craze about *coughs* mediocre Fury 325 would die down in a heartbeat (and yes, I've been on the forceless ride).

Where are all the rides?

Chance has all the tools to build another SD2K, just no one has asked them for it. I can see CF working with Chance to build some rides in the future though. SWO is already building big, I dont picture them going bigger anytime soon
