rcjp
^That's true. It makes sense that they want to update their product but, you know, if it ain't broke don't fix it and if they really wanted to do something about the restraints they could think about starting to use lap bars on their looping rides as nowadays most big manufacturers at least offer that option. _koppen
^ Well it's still B&M, there extremely conservative. We'll probably see lap bars only on a B&M in 15 years..
KingRCT3
If there is one thing to know about B&M, is that they don't care what is the trend and what other manufacturers do.

StealthFan
Well looking at the 0 in the 2015 on that photo it is VERY similar to the logo for Oblivion at Alton Towers so I really wouldn't put it past Merlin to call this Oblivion.

Check page 16 on this pdf from merlin. It lists Gardaland's from 2010-2014, and says 2015 - 'Oblivion'. http://www.merlinentertainments.biz/DC72F004-00B6-486F-A9CF-D31965E1CF6D.CFILE Maybe they will call it Oblivion Inferno

thrillseeker4552
Looks great! It's nice to see an inversion on a dive coaster that's not an immelmann. And that Intamin drop tower is so cute! I wanna give it a hug and tuck it into bed with a warm cozy blanket

tarheel1231
She's pretty That picture should answer what B&M restraints they are using.
gardyloo!
I think it's great that they use the old restrains. With the new vests it kinda sits on your shoulders (leaves no space between shoulders and restrains) and with the old ones it leaves a few inches space between your shoulders and the restrain. Woudn't it be awesome if B&M designed a lapbar restrain on their dive machines.

StealthFan
Did Merlin raid the Alton Towers archive and get up all the old promotional materials from Oblivion and marketing scheme? That uniform looks a lot like the ones staff wore when guarding the construction site for Oblivion!
