^That's true. It makes sense that they want to update their product but, you know, if it ain't broke don't fix it and if they really wanted to do something about the restraints they could think about starting to use lap bars on their looping rides as nowadays most big manufacturers at least offer that option.

^ Well it's still B&M, there extremely conservative. We'll probably see lap bars only on a B&M in 15 years..

It looks cool! And on the information Video they sayd that it will stop and they also sayd oblivion. But we all know since long that it is a dive Coaster!

 

Apparently the coaster is going to be called "Oblivion", not exactly imaginative if it's true.

Well looking at the 0 in the 2015 on that photo it is VERY similar to the logo for Oblivion at Alton Towers so I really wouldn't put it past Merlin to call this Oblivion.

Check page 16 on this pdf from merlin. It lists Gardaland's from 2010-2014, and says 2015 - 'Oblivion'.

That picture should answer what B&M restraints they are using.

I think it's great that they use the old restrains. With the new vests it kinda sits on your shoulders (leaves no space between shoulders and restrains) and with the old ones it leaves a few inches space between your shoulders and the restrain.

Woudn't it be awesome if B&M designed a lapbar restrain on their dive machines.

Did Merlin raid the Alton Towers archive and get up all the old promotional materials from Oblivion and marketing scheme? That uniform looks a lot like the ones staff wore when guarding the construction site for Oblivion!
