Machtin
Tomb Raider: Fire Fall looks better IMO Look at that: Do you still think TR:FF looks better?

Wishmaster
I rode Talocan yesterday and I absolutely loved it! The ride is not very intense, but the atmosphere more than makes up for that, especially in the front row.
krouvi
It looks like the best themed Top Spin ever.
Skramp
The theming looks amazing!!! Disney doesn't even compare to that. It's like you're in the middle of Hell. Damn, why couldn't Tomb Raider look decent like that, oh wait, it's a Paramount invention, where we pick a movie and then randomly try to make a ride around it. ECZenith
Wow! Absolutely stunning, definately th enicest looking flat ride I've ever seen.

Bucket
Wow! Talocan looks great! I have always thought of Phantasialand as more of a family theme park with tamer rides but with the addition of this great Top Spin and Black Mamba, it truly is becoming a destination for thrill seekers! Wishmaster
^ Not really, Phantasialand wants to be a family park, but they just figure that thrill seekers are part of a family too. I doubt the next few rides will be as thrilling as Black Mamba and Talocan.
Ultracoasters
The new incredible talocan's program => More water and fire effect, more fun ! You Tube video Amazing
Airtime&Gravity
Talocan looks amazing, abut what is with it waving three walls behind it, a roof, but no fourth wall. While the theming looks great, it looks like it was going to be indoors, but the park ran out of money.
dr.gumbo
Wow... this beats both Tomb raiders in overall inmpressions, the music and effects are also fantastic! ^^ BTW Talocan was always going to be outdoors
Wishmaster
^^ The building is supposed to look like a cooperative that collapsed, unveiling the fact that it was build over an ancient temple. It doesn't matter that it's outdoor anyway. The three walls and the effects give you the feeling that you're indoor.
pkd804
WOW! Talocan does sure beat Tomb Raider: Firefall with the theming and program! I like how Talocan's program isn't so originally normal like most top spins are. The end of the ride is an awesome way to end the ride. I want to ride it so badly. Is there an onride POV anywhere?! I'm like a top spin junkie even though I've only ridden Tomb Raider: Firefall.I have to ride Talocan some day!
Wishmaster
Yesterday evening, Phantasialand announced their new hotel for 2008. It will be called Matamba and is located next to the African area. It will have 120 rooms, all of which provide a view over the park. http://www.parkscout.de/artikel/matamba-im-phantasialand/freizeitparks-nrw-nordrheinwestfalen
DerekRx
That is fantastic news. I loved my stay at the Hotel Phantasia, with the great theming and closeness to the park. I'm sure this one will be equally as cool.
RollercoasterTigger
Another fantastic looking hotel. I love phantasialand - the hotel and park is stunning - we were there on holiday just 2 weeks ago. Might hold off going again until this hotel is open!
WillMontu
According to Screamscape: Park News - (11/7/08) According to the pictures posted here the park has demolished the big fountain from Old Berlin street and has started to take apart the Phantasialand Jet monorail system that has been in operation since 1974. You can see a few older pictures of the Jet at the Monorail Society website. A sad day for Scott, Jow, and many others. Unfortunately, it looks like it's headed for the scrap heap I was fortunate enough to ride it earlier this year during the TPR trip I shot a few pictures and video during its last months of operation Had America voted for PMW, this Schwarzkopf masterpiece would probably live on! ginzo
As much as I like Schwarzkopf and monorails, I'm not sad to see this one go. It was like riding in a cramped oven. It was also really slow and only had one station so it didn't function as transport. It did look pretty cool though.
montezooma
^yes I am sad to see it go just for nostalgic sake, but have to agree it was very dated, cramped and really didn't serve any purpose other than to ride a 1970's idealistic vision of transportation. BTW, I love that last picture, it has something for everyone.
terrancew_hod
At least I got to ride it this summer. I agree it wasn't really transportation, it was more of a ride since it only has one station. Terry
Moose
I loved how interwoven the ride was with so many others, especially in the Old west/mexico area.
