Just noticed the web cam is zoomed in on the dodgems sign. If they really did change their plans maybe we will be seeing them removed.

^ Call it a hunch, but I don't think the position of the park webcams are necessarily related to rides that are on the chopping block. The other webcam is aimed at Top Thrill Dragster, and yesterday it was aimed on the midway. I think they're just showing various nice views of the park.

Now that I think about it, Cedar Point really needs a good GCI coaster.

I would rather a GG woodie with 90 degree banks and stuff.

That way you could ride it whenever you want with no line.

I would rather them forgo the wooden coaster for a 400 foot tall B&M.

 

But I'd also take a wooden coaster. Any coaster really. Well we are at it, maybe a coaster for Valleyfair (no, not Mantis)

Next year, CP is obviously renaming Mantis to "Key Master" and painted the track white and the supports teal.

Forgive me if this has already been posted about, but I wanted to throw an idea out there about the entire Mantis transformations. If any part of the track was actually changed , I would really love to see the drop redone to become more steep. If that didn't happen I would at least hope the trim break might be removed... I think this would be the best area of the ride to change and would make the ride much more exciting.

 

Looking forward to seeing whatever comes of this!

Q: That wasn't the announcement, was it?

A: A coaster closure of any kind, at any park, is a big deal. Especially here. So yes, that's a major announcement. Food for thought - we never said it was a 2015 announcement.

Heading up to the point tomorrow for the day. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day with ~10mph winds. Everything should be operating like normal, correct? Looking to get many re-rides on a low crowd day!
