got to say this is the coaster i am looking forward to most in 2007, however due to cash and geographical location i have no chance of riding this in the comeing year........s.

going to have to settle for some video ;(

The coaster seems to be coming along great!

Now I just need to make sure I'm able to get there next year.....which I kind of doubt........oh well. I guess there's always 2008.....which seems like so long....

It looks like some of those quick changes of direction could become violent and cause a bit of head bashing...but I'm sure Intamin has taken all of that into account.

Wow! the coaster looks amazing but the area so far .....

But CP said they will go all out with theming so i really hope the concept artwork is correct/////

^^ It should be, it official

They finished this ride very early, probably because they are going to spend months on theming

(or finish it before christmas)

OR try and finish before the harsh Lake Erie winters.

^Not to mention the fact that they KNOW they will have lots of problems with the LSMs early on. It makes sense to build it early, as it means less breakdowns after opening (this way, they don't pull another TTD).

How do you even know the reason is because they are going to have problems? You don't know- nobody does! How could you be so negative?

The only thing that really makes sense is for themeing and because of the harsh winter. For all you or any of us know, the there won't be any problems. To automatically just say to expect that to be a major problem seems like a bad assumption.

"From my point of view, the most challenging part of building this coaster will be getting the stators—the motors that propel the ride, just like Wicked Twister has—installed properly. Their alignment has to be perfectly precise, and that’s not easy to achieve."

Thats how we can be so negative. The have to get the stators PERFECTLY inline or else the ride wont create the magnetic field it needs to get the launch. All major Intamins with LSMs have or have come close to having this problem.

^Yes. Except, you enter the first one like a cork, then exit like a Zero G. Then, in reverse for the next one, enter like a Zero G and exit like a cork.

According to my "Maverick Fun Facts Official Pamphlet Thingy", the "speed of first drop" is approximately 57 mph.

In other words, I don't think it gains 1 mph in a 100-foot drop.

It's under "Time, Speed, Capacity", if you have really good eyes.

Wow theres an elevator to get to the station..Thats different

Raptor has an elevator to its station. I think its for handicapped people...

well considering the most each train will be able to take on is 12 people, I think its pretty plausible that they have an elevator. I remember stormrunners station got packed like the dickens when I was there, hopefully this elevator action will reduce or eliminate that crowding problem, seeing as the trains have low capacity anyways
