I should PM you truck stop pictures all day now and see if you can name them. If you can let's go hustle people at bars. Just be like "You show me a picture of a truck stop and I'll bet I can tell you where it is I'll bet you $20".

Let's make this happen... we'll split the money but I get 60% because it was my idea.

But did you use the Pythagorean Theorem?

Twice

The last two pages have probably been my favorite on TPR. Thanks for the entertainment.

As a mechanical engineering student, I can confirm that it only takes 2 uses of the Pythagorean theorem to accurately recreate a model of a roller coaster from two single pieces of track.

4 years of college and a degree finally come in handy.

I took the derivative of the curves of the inversions, took the reverse tangent of the lift angle, and added them together and my calculator told me....

Intamin is sad.

And not a single mention of the Quadratic formula... I am ashamed of all of you! How are we supposed to know X without it?! PEMDAS doesn't even have a catchy jingle to help students in middle and high school remember it! We can pinpoint EXACT coordinates of these track pieces as long as we know A B and C. x equals negative b plus or minus the square root of b squared minus four time a plus c, all over two a. Which of course I did some math myself and came up with this rough sketch of the layout based on the two pieces on site so far:

Of course this is a very similar layout to the one coasterbill got when he used PEMDAS and the Pathagorean Theorem, twice. But with the quadratic formula we get a new angle to look at the ride with!

Any other formulas we can play with to see even MORE views?! Maybe even a POV?

EDIT: CoasterBill, I take you up on your TI-83, and raise you my TI-nspire

I raise you my nspire cx cas.

And atleast were sure that this dive track is CP's.

Casio Prism represent. Full color screen and built in spreadsheets. Helped take the standard deviation of those tracks real fast.

All of the signs point to CW. Canada's Wonderland needs a dive machine more than CP does. Cedar Point already has 2 vertical drops. That's too many amazing ride experiences. If it's floorless, they just got Rougarou. They also have GateKeeper, which has seats hanging off the side of the track. Because of the seating, the roller coasters are exactly the same. Stupid...

How was my impression?

Calm down, we all know it's going to Canada's Wonderland <<< (Sarcastic Voice)

But in all seriousness, it's going to CP. So what if they have vertical drops it's another unique experience of hanging over the edge, and the Immelmann after the drop!
