coasterlover420 Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Another update has been posted as the crew, apparently, is finishing pouring the last few (or many) footers. They have definitely added quite a few where there were'nt any before, so the ride keeps "lengthening itself", so to speak. Maybe we'll see some verticalness in the next two to three weeks!
SharkTums Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 ^^I'm guessing that 'length' will be a key feature of the ride!
Astat Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 When is the official announcement? Kinzel mentioned an announcement in August for 2007's plans during the press conference about buying the Paramount parks.
ECZenith Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 That'll probably be when BGE announces their new coaster as well. July's already had enough exciting stuff to tide me over for now.
CedarPoint420 Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Rumor is they have now moved the crane from the staging lot over to the construction site and there are supports on site. So it should be vertical really soon.
cprocks22 Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 ^Im going tomorrow, ill look to see. BTW i dont think anyone has posted these yet but at thepointol.com they have some really good pictures, and it looks like they got some more supports. EDIT: sorry i cant get the link to work.
Cheesey Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 ^How do you know that? Where did you hear that from? That seems too soon. Then again, they did start construction very early for this coaster, so an early announcement would make sense. If that is the case then we only have to wait another 15 days...

Reon Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 LIEK, OMG! CEDAR POINT IS GETTNG COASTAR? Had to do it Thread needed some reviving anyways...
tinflowers Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I'll be hitting Cedar Point for the first time in August. I probably won't get back to the park in another 2-5 years. Woe is me and whatever this new coaster will be.
Twister II Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 ^How do you know that? Where did you hear that from? That seems too soon.
