I hope everyone has ridden every new coaster that opened this year, because if you haven't been on Voyage, Tatsu, Kentucky Rumbler, El Toro, Patriot, Goliath... I grow tired of listing.. you get the idea. Worry about riding all those first before you think about rides that aren't even built yet. Besides we all know it's going to be a B&M woodie, with 2 loops and a wooden corkscrew, kicking SOB's ass. If anyone takes that seriously they need to rethink their judgement

We were both right, it uses both.

 

All the track on site appears to be Intamin, so unless another company is copying Intamin's style, it's a safe bet.

I didn't have enough time to look at all 74 pages here.....but did anyone guess 500 ft wooden inverted stand-up? That's my guess.

Do you really need 700 Sqft for all that? You operate the coaster within the station, no shed required.

I just remebered something! On a show I watched on National Geographic called Supercoasters, they talked abou how modern day LIMS can catapult tons of lbs to up to 200mph in less that 2 seconds. They used a catch car, but they catch car was the part being attracted and repelled by the lims, not the car itself. They also have a testing ground in NJ. Maybe this helped, in a way..??

Rock N Roller Coaster At WDW uses LSMs pushing a catch car to launch it's trains.

Don't forget water pumps and filtration systems require a lot of power to operate as well. Besides, 600 Square feet isn't really that big-- 20' x 30' to house electric and probably the computer system is about average for a large coaster.

Just to chime in on this... Xcelerator's PLC/Electrical "shed" is at least 700 square feet... as is the area under Silver Bullet's station that houses the PLC and electrical for that ride as well. That permit tells you NOTHING about what kind of ride this is.

 

One other thing that I noticed... well, two things. First was that it looks like they're keeping this ride quiet. Some of the supports have the pre-cut caps that'll allow them to fill them with sand: Click here for example. And they have supports that'll end up holding up either a loop, dive loop, immelman, cobra roll... et al. Click here for inversion supports, they're almost identical to the ones used on rides like California Screamin', etc. Either way, should be interesting to see what they're going to build.

If that is even close, at this point only a new car style would make this at all interesting. The supports show at least some inverted track, so a wing-walker seems more and more likely.

 

The pictures does use the footers pretty well though, a nice job IMO.
