FeelTheFORCE
My arguement that CP is getting a B&M and using the Intamin track for another park to throw us off. Ok here goes. Take a look at this pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/gunner950/scream27.jpg heres original pic if you want it without circles: http://rcdb.com/ig2169.htm?picture=27 heres another: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/gunner950/scream18.jpg and the original: http://rcdb.com/ig2169.htm?picture=18 The reason i posted these pics was because in both pics notice the double supports either on one footer or as two separate footers. In a lot (if not, all) of B&M coasters have this. Now notice in these pics how the footers are placed: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/gunner950/jOpeningDay060078.jpg http://pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=3339 Either next to each other or the big double block. It seems that the double supports show up only when the track is low to the ground (and in other parts but mostly near the ground)...so my guess is that it buzzes the water or possibly does a corscrew/flatspin right over the water. Thanks to rcdb, the pointol, and pointbuzz for the pics.
kennywood!007
Wow, that is an extremely good point. You might have figured out the whole CP plan!
Jon Sabo
Good point on the pic-postings, but look at the support(s) bolt-configuration. B&M versions tend to use for to six bolts, while Intamin tend to use multiple bolt supports. Look closely at the footer locations in/around the lake and look how many bolt patterns they have. coasterlover420
I have also noticed that B&M doesn't use circle footers and Intamin does sometimes.
Sticky Nicky
this ride will probly be a western type ride because i found this out on rcdb A teaser sign at the construction site reads "Ya'll up for some serious sidewindin'?" -- adding some creditability to the rumors that the new roller coaster will have a western theme and possibly be called Maverick. It could also have a cobra/boomerang because of the word 'sidewindin' or it could just be a half loop
DATman
^^^^^You realize how much money they would be wasting if this were true? It is way to expensive to ship the same track to two parks in one year. Trust me, it's an Intamin....

I still stick by my theory that this will go around the park. Think about it...They have started construction really early, a lot of track is already arriving, and there is still a lot of time left to put footers up all over the place. TheStig
Your all wrong, its the newest Arrow multi-inversion coaster! Well its not NEW, but its Shockwave from SFGAm, it never got melted, just purchased by Cedar Fair! Seriously now, its an Intamin. NO park would pay the money to ship track to one park and use it at another, especially if there are already footers poured and whatnot. None of us know, so we'll just have to wait and see... coasterlover420
^I think we all know it's an Intamin (which,if I recall was what I predicted while everyone else was like "OOH a B&M flyer!!!" "Why would Intamin be here at cp!?!?")ok, I'm done
TheStig
I guess my post was too deep for you! Its called sarcasm, and I did stated that Seriously now, its an Intamin. so where did I say we did not know it was an Intamin? I said none of us know anything in terms of what type/layout coaster this is, not who made it! Colin C

MattJackson
^^^^^You realize how much money they would be wasting if this were true? It is way to expensive to ship the same track to two parks in one year. Trust me, it's an Intamin.... Your point is a valid one, but despite how much it may cost, who's saying that they wouldn't do it? You have to keep everything in check. It may cost a lot, but is completely possible. Since none of us know exactly what's going on, I'm not convincing myself of much of anything, exept that CP is getting a new coaster, and Intamin track is present. Actually, the possibility of a B&M seems very good to me about now.
coasterlover420
Why the hell would they do that anyway. CP isn't smart enough to pull tricks like this. I can't help but shake the feeling that they used this much space for track and the site is rather small.
ECZenith
I wouldn't worry about the storage space determining the size of the coaster. As new pieces come in for storage, older pieces leave the lot to be put in place.
cprocks22
I wouldnt exactly be suprised if they shipped the track to another park, Cedar Fair is know to spen a lot of money to theme things to concrete and pavement .
Jon Sabo
I believe this was already stated earlier in the rumor stages, but I will post a link on the added rumor: 1. http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/4557/prototipoww9jm.jpg Although a similar ride is going up at the Port Aventura park, I also believe the USA-version will now be at C-P. For now, I will withdraw my viewpoint on the aqua-trax coaster...lol Also, the lake area would be a great visual experience on this type of ride sitting "outside" of the track similar to an "X"-style configuration. Reason for this new approach I am leaning toward is look at the "signs" that CP has been posting. 1. "Ya'll up for some serious sidewindin'?" 2. "We are going in a different direction" 3. Putting "two and two-together"
ConleyKE
Ive read this whole thread and still believe its a looping intamin. I could very well be wrong, but it is "going in a new direction" from the past world record height coasters. A traditional chain lift would be a nice shift for CP. Ive also noticed some of you may need to attend some anger manegment classes. lol but seriously lets keep the peace.

coastakid
I was just thinking about sidewindin'...and I realized what if they aren't talking about something like looping. What if they are talking about they mean side..like side by side and a winding track? That just punched me right in the head..hehe...and sorry if someone said something like this earlier, but I don't have time to read other posts. It could still include a corkscrew, inline twist, zero G roll....ect with that theme, just not a vertical loop.
coasterlover420
Maybe it means they came up with a new inversion...
Jon Sabo
The Port Aventura CAD preview shows the "wing-walker" ride performs an inversion near the ending of the ride. CP could incorporate the same thing and perhaps add a couple of new "twists" to the inversion arsenal. If what we are reading ("we are going in a different direction") makes any sense to the teasers, the wing-walker with the western (Maverick) theme would make sense in adding a new twist to the park's coaster selection. Also, note that they posted a sign "hold onto your spurs". Spurs are generally located "outside" of the boot and having the riders on the outside of the track would add to the excitement of guessing this ride may become more of a leading rumor now. Of course we all will know the real story by the end of August..lol
cprocks22
Maybe since spurs are on your feet this will be the first coaster where you are held only by your feet the whole ride . ^ Good point but i think spurs are on the back of boots.
