coasterlover420
Then why does it matter that you know, anyway?
BeemerBoy
^ Yep, I knew I should've posted that sarcasm disclaimer. I'm sure some folks will get the joke...right?
mightypotato
^ Yep, I knew I should've posted that sarcasm disclaimer. I'm sure some folks will get the joke...right? I question the validity of the Dippin' Dots guy. I would take the world of the Lemon Chill guy way over the word of the Dippin' Dots guy.
BeemerBoy
Finally, thank you.
jamesdillaman
You guys know nothing, you have to talk to the dippin' dots SUPERVISOR, the point-of-sale employees know nothing. If you want the real information go right to the top! -James Dillaman
Jon Sabo
This will sound off-the-wall, but I have never tried Dip-n-Dots yet...lol I think I have seen a sample of what that is about on the History Channel (Sweets-n-treats) show.
coasterlover420
Dip-n-Dots are good....mmmmmmm......(especially cookies and cream!) At Rumblefest, I got all the answers to all your questions... as you can clearly see in this photo. I swore not to tell anything though. You think I couldn't hint the sarcasm?...... TheStig
Okay so here are some pics I took of the track and footer, they were from outside the fence or within walking areas of the park, so its all legal and whatnot. Enjoy! Colin C One last shot! Theres this wierd trench thing going on here, I wonder what its for? more footers...ON THE LAKE! here are some lovely footer shots... more track This picture says only one thing, ACER! OoOoOoOo pretty! For all of you who said "the track has no wheel lines", I present to you, deep red wheel lines! These looks like loop sections to me, but hey I know nothing, it could be anything Heres a closer shot, and yep, its confirmed, its red! Oh boy, another red coaster at CP, this will make 4! Whats this? It appears to be RED! So here is the much anticipated Intamin Track!
ECZenith
Man whatever this thing is, it's going to look great right on the water.
kennywood!007
I cannot wait to see what this thing looks like!
M_Force_4_ever
I think it might be a roller coaster... it appears to have a footprint that looks slightly like an "L" but then again I was looking from mean strek so I was shaking a bit
TheStig
Well I heard it rolls, word on the street is that it coasts too. Dippin dots guy told me, he knows all of whats going on, he is so down with it. Colin C
BeemerBoy
Judging from all the track pics I've seen thus far, it would appear to be the world's largest vertical loop. Seriously, have they delivered a straight piece yet?
coasterguy618
Maybe this coaster will break records from havnig the most inversions of any coasters in the world. Or it can be a clone of Colossos at Thorpe Park.
Reon
Well then maybe THAT's the record! I mean, they cant fit highest or fastest, they might be able to do most inversions, but what about highest inversions?
dougstanton
Well I wouldn't want a clone of Colossus because I heard that sucked. As of now the only record it can beat is...smallest footprint for what is supposed to be a major coaster...I am interested to see where the rest of the footers show up and what possibly may need to be knocked down for it. I say...Knock down Mean Streak so that you have a lot more room for the ride...and then use the wood to build the station .
Frenchy
Colossus doesn't suck! It just kind of cheats with regards to the inversion record by performing four inlines in a row, great fun though for a rather compact coaster.
Hercules
Why does everyone assume that there is going to be a record with every new coaster that is being built these days? Oh wait, Cedar Point is the one doing the building. Nevermind.
dougstanton
^^ I heard that it was rough and no one enjoys getting their head banged into shoulder harnesses.
Frenchy
Ah yes that old chesnut, Colossus can be rough, but it tends to be the train that makes the difference, one is smoother, one is not. Personally however I can say I've never had any problems with headbanging on that thing. :S
cprocks22
Heres pics from my recent trip last weekend, a photo tr is comming, its finals at school so it might be the weekend. And if anyone was wondering, yes the holes in the wall are there for a "sneak peak" of the ride Another angle, near the exit of Thunder Canyon ??? ok the fun wore off, heres an xtreme close up of some random footer on the lake OMG THERES MORE!!!! Why didn't i know this? OMG ITS A FOOTER!!!!
Sticky Nicky
We know for sure it is an intamin roller coaster. Some other websites say it is the second Aqua Trax coaster. To see the first Aqua Trax : http://www.rcdb.com/id1646.htm it is called Atlantis Adventure and is at Lotte World (Seoul, South Korea) I think the track is red
SFOGdude25
If it were up to me, I would like for this coaster to have the 1st half of Colossus and the last barrel roll before the brakes, and not have the 4 barrel rolls in a row. Instead, it would have more hills.
jamesdillaman
I'm sure with everybody going to cedar point this week or next week, somebody will find the right dippin' dots guy and we'll get this all cleared up. I'll try and take some more photos on Monday, but I'm taking my girlfriends cousin who's never been there before, so top priority is getting him on as many rides as possible. -James Dillaman
BeemerBoy
Perhaps a closed-door round table meeting with the entire Dippin'Dots crew is in order? And since you're going, I've got an odd photo request, if possible. As stupid as it sounds, would you be willing to take a pic of the lockers at MF? Let's just say it's needed to settle a bet with a good friend. Thanks. Oh, and to stay on topic of the thread...um, I think this will be a good Intamin coaster for CP. There, that did it.
