Mystic Timbers would have been my last choice for a name, but who gives a shit? It didn't make me enjoy the ride any less. Rail Blazer would be just fine. At least Cedar Fair doesn't have a Goliath in every other park.

 

When I saw this name I thought of Mystic Timbers also. That's the dumbest name Cedar Fair has ever come up with and at this point we're all used to it and hardly even think about it. The same thing will happen here if this is really the name.

Yes, it r1ngs a bell. And thank you so much for that. However, I think it's pretty safe to say Six Flags names are a bit more redundant than Cedar Fair. I'll take Rail Blazer over the same comic book names strewn about every park.

While that's not the greatest name and I already mentioned the negative association with a previous ride, I am definitely in agreement that a name is really just a name and hardly has any bearing on how much any of us will enjoy the ride. Honestly I was hoping for something along the lines of HawkHawk.

THIS. I was not a fan of Mystic Timbers for the name but now it somehow feels perfect. I sometimes feel coasters "grow into" their names.

I still like Stampede as it fits right in with the Frontiertown theme.

 

In the old west, Longhorn cattle were easily frightened and could be provoked to stampede by any sudden noise, like a gunshot or a clap of thunder.
