maverick_cp Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 It's back on! Got my invite for the announcement new date! I don't know guys, something about this picture makes me think that maybe it was changed. The graphic design of this countdown teaser thing makes me think of like medieval or vikings or something... it looks completely different from designs of the teasers before it... But it might just be me. I don't know. Now I'm rambling.

The countdown is literally the same exact font, and the logo/emblem that has been discussed over the last page is the one from the original invites.... I'll eat my foot if they changed the name.
TyRush Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 The name won't change. But I definitely can see some news reporter wanting attention and bringing up what the name means.

To provide further visual verification that clearly, nothing has changed since pre-accident... Pre-accident announcement... Post-accident announcement...
DirkFunk Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Wands and bag searches at the entrance today. I assume that was a dry run for Halloweekends or something, but still not a thing I was totally stoked about. If they do roll forward with it, they're gonna need a lot more than four or five people to wand 30-40,000 efficiently.
DoinItForTheFame Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 To provide further visual verification that clearly, nothing has changed since pre-accident... Pre-accident announcement... Post-accident announcement... there is no need for a name change[/b]. The new ride is in no way related to the accident, and the park was just doing the "right thing" and the professional thing by pushing back the announcement to begin with.

This has been explained time and time again. Is there really a need for another explenation of this topic? People are going to believe what they want, they will realize they were wrong come announcement time.
KBrylczyk Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ^ You gotta admit, it sure it fun and entertaining to watch.
DoinItForTheFame Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 This has been explained time and time again. Is there really a need for another explenation of this topic? Sadly, Yes... I do feel like it needs another explanation. Maybe just one more explanation will get it through peoples heads.
robbalvey Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 I'll eat my foot if they changed the name. Sort of hoping the name changes now just so we can get video of this...
cfc Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ^They should definitely name the ride "Foot Eater."
TB305 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I'll eat my foot if they changed the name. Sort of hoping the name changes now just so we can get video of this... *Instantly regrets making promise about devouring one's own foot* I hope my big toe tastes like a McNugget when deep fried...
ImNotOneOfYou Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ^They should definitely name the ride "Foot Eater." If they change the name to Foot Eater, and he eats his foot, they might delay its opening because of the horrible loss.

More correctly, they would change the name of their next coaster that had nothing to do with the foot eating.
FaithPlus1 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 They should change the name of the ride to Fence Jumper or Suicide Raptor
ImNotOneOfYou Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ^^ Darn. We just can't win. I blame the parents. They should put signs all over the neighborhood saying "Don't eat your foot." However, people would still find a way to eat their feet. They could "accidentally" drop a knife taped to a bowling ball on their foot.
Password121 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I would like to point out that any unfortunate death caused by a stupid guest getting hit by a moving coaster train should now be referred to as getting "Raptor'd." Creds to whomever coined that term a few weeks back on this thread, it's still part of my working vocabulary. By "working" I mean "would like to find a reasonable situation for use."

I remember the term being used on the Kings Dominion thread, but I dont know if there was a use before it. Why dont we call it "Batman'd" or "Katun'd"?
coasterbill Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ^They should definitely name the ride "Foot Eater." Nope... that's Raptor too. Cedar Point: Raptor guest injured squeezing through closing gate Raptor is NOT in the mood for stupid people this year.

It was a concept picture of Delirium with guests standing almost in the path of the ride, they was about to get Raptored!
ImNotOneOfYou Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Can we call it "Dumb Funk the Ride?" But then the public will be offended, so they'll change it to Mantis. That name also implies some theming will be needed, so CF will never use it.
