*just saw that. A crane has been brought in. They are working on the top of the lift.

If that's the case then this seems exactly like the lift chain issue it had right around the same time last year.

Cam has been moved so you can't see work happening on lift. You can see the boom of the crane but that's it. Hope it's nothing serious.

Also side note, it is crowded today. 45 min wait on Millie, about 45 on Maverick.

And I fully agree! I love that ride now with the new restraints. I just don't want to wait more then 15 mins on coasters! I am very inpatient anymore, especially since I am a single rider and waiting in lines can get extremely boring.

If it's not a lift chain, what could it be? The lift motor is at the bottom of the lift... I would almost guarantee it's the chain (though I'm no expert). Last time they had it fixed in about 3 days. I'm sure they'll bust it to get it open for Labor Day weekend.

I apparently always visit on the worst days because I have NEVER seen a wait less than an hour for Maverick in the past 4 years.

It could also be a component on the chain housing or chain-trough nylon lining. I've personally seen those become an issue before when the chain starts making hard contact with it.

Headed back to the point after a 3 year absence. My 7 year old daughter just hit the 54 inch mark. She's a coaster and theme park junkie just like us. I cant wait for the expression on her face when she sees the coasters she's going to get to ride. Extremely proud of her. She has no fear!

Awesome! My kid's turning 4 next week, and at the moment is only 42", but he's definitely hooked on all sorts of rides, especially coasters. So about another three years to go before he can hit the biggest of the big boys, then...
