ernierocker Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 After that unpleasant tidbit, can we please go back to posting photos of Mahoney now!
Erik Johnson Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 If this happens you can say good-bye to my AP pass.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 The quality of those parks would decrease 100% if Six Flags ran things. I'm surprised that Universal/Comcast hasn't put in an offer for these parks.
oriolat Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 This is the end of the world the Mayan were talking about.
SharkTums Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Couldn't make BGTs ride ops any worse. Sea World's been having some issues with front gate staff lately too. In fact last weekend for the 'kids' event there were two employees up front having a very inappropriate conversation!
coastercrazy216 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I think that a candlelight vigil needs to be conducted immediately. This couldn't be worse. Not that SF is horrible, but it's no where near the standard of SeaWorld.
Double0Kevin Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Sooo... Does that mean Shouka is coming back to SFDK?
Someotherguyuser Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 That's not TRUE! That's IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!! "Search your feelings, you know it to be true." NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Wes Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Do they realize they'll have to feed the animals and stuff?
rollin_n_coastin Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Couldn't make BGTs ride ops any worse. Sea World's been having some issues with front gate staff lately too. In fact last weekend for the 'kids' event there were two employees up front having a very inappropriate conversation! LOL Sounds like my last experience at Disneyland Resort gift shops. This is the most frightening news ever but then, not really sure how things have changed under Blackstone, so it could be a continuation of the status quo?
gisco Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Just what SF needs, more debt. Didn't turn out to well for them last time.
Jew Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Great Wolf Lodge isn't doing great financially either if I remember correctly? Doesn't seem like Sea World would be in good hands either way.
historyfreak92 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Why is Six Flags purchasing SeaWorld Parks, & are they going to end of losing their Roller Coasters, & close?
azza29 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Disney. After all, they own everything else now.
Wes Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Why is Six Flags purchasing SeaWorld Parks, & are they going to end of losing their Roller Coasters, & close? My brain is melting trying to understand what the hell this means.
rcwizard13 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 OMG! This is terrible! (Insert Epic Darth Vader NOOOOO here)
uwgbdork Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Yeah.... this would be like letting walmart take over..... their goes the quality...
Taylor Finn Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I'm sure for the right price, they could get this. I would really prefer Six Flags mind their own business, though. I don't see them putting Sea World, Busch, and Sesame on a pedistool and putting in the money necessary to keep them unique and great.
AndrewRnR Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Would Gwazi's 5 minute dispatch times increase or decrease with Six Flags?
3Mutts Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Apollo maybe fine, but I DON'T want Six Flags to take over Sea World, their parks don't mix well on standards such as themeing (crappy vs great) and services (SF is getting better but they are still no where near Sea World quality). If it goes through I can see this not ending up well for the Sea World parks and Six Flags.
Koasterking48 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 OH GOD NO! NO! no no no no no no. This is total crap. I swear if this happens, they will ruin Busch Gardens as well as SeaWorld. We will be seeing Apollo and Griffon clones like there's no tomorrow. Ripping apart all of the beautiful trees at Williamsburg to add some stupid pile of trash over-hyped coaster. I also really dont want to see DC comics plastered all over. This better fall through.
LazyFriday Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Hmmmm Six Flags = Iron Gwazi, 2 train operation in peak seasons on Kumba, Sheikra, Manta, Kraken, Montu, Alpeingiest, Apollo's Chariot, Griffon (you guys get the point) then atleast 4 of these coasters will be put into the ride rotation program, Shamu in the new animal rotation program, 5 minute dispatches between trains on coasters, plus a debt they cant handle...I dont see anything negative here. But seriously I pray that neither Six Flags nor Apollo get their hands on Sea World Parks
