IwantRevenge Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 2nd drop (1st airtime hill) on El Toro some insane airtime
edboxer Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Coney Island Cyclone - the 2nd drop after the Surf Ave turn - ejector air into the lap bar - can be painful. Phoenix - the ejector bunny hops before the final turn and trim break - it dares you to stay in your seat. Boulderdash - the third drop, which is a double down, great airtime and it looks like you are about to hit a tree. MF - the 200ft floater - great airtime (last year at Coaster Mania - I caught a floating camera!) GL Dominator - in the last row, the drop after the midcourse break into the corkscrews is incredible.

adc9787 Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 The drop right after the MCBR on The Texas Giant at SFOT!

bgwfreak Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Voyage tripple down Voyage the little drop and then turn exiting the tunnel before the turnaround.
deano Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I havnt been on too many woodies but i will have to go for the second drop on GHOSTRIDER as my favorite.
Electerik Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Another vote for "The Drop" on GhostRider! Not actually "The Drop," but what occurs immediately afterward. (Photo from Theme Park Review.)
Stitch Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 All of the camelbacks on Thunder Run (SFKK) massive ejector air
MSLSM Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 -first drop on Hades -Vipers double drop -Cyclops air time drop -Airtime hills on Screamin Eagle
roasted_marshmallow Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Put me down for the triple down in the tunnel on the Voyage. Makes me drop my arms for fear they'll be ripped off...
saxman47 Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 The crossover drop into the twister section on El Toro!!! Without a doubt, the most insane airtime moment I have ever experienced. Period.
TheKlockster Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I am going to say the drop into the main helix on Son of Beast - or the infamous OMG airtime drop on the end of Tornado at Strickers Grove. Sorry - but the 5th drop on Raven kind of sucks... I got all excited to experience the killer airtime that everyone had been raving about - and it is nothing. Then after 5 more laps on Raven - I still got nothing...
jamjar Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 the speed dip on the grand national in the middle @ BPB
haux Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 My vote goes to the fifth (I think) drop on Voyage. The one in the third tunnel. Holy cow, that surprised me like no other coaster had surprised me in years. It's steeper than the previous drop or two, and it drops into that tunnel. So amazing.
kraken613 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I love that drop that goes above the lift then drops by the station in to the air hill!
andy_e219 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 The Jackrabbit at Kennywood's double dip. The Thunderbolt at kennywood's last 2 hills.
Tanks4me05 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Comet - TGE Nickname: Magician's Hill Location on ride: Second hill after first elevated turnaround. Reason for freaking awesomeness: It looks like its just an ordinary camelback, but it isn't. The way the track has warped from aging, there are three "pumps" in the crest of the hill. But those pumps are not painful in any way. So, instead of receiving three jolts of pain, you get three moments of airtime - while going over the top of ONE hill, which is why I call it the Magician's Hill. Nickname: G Hill Location: Third to last hill of ride, if the climb into the station counts. Reason for freaking awesomeness: Going over the hill at a high speed and with the bend in the track, not only do you experience major airtime, but you experience intense laterals as well. Boulder Dash - Lake Compounce Nickname: S Bend Hill Location: Second hill of ride Reason for awesomeness: It's like a double mirrored S Bend, and it's a hill, and it's got airtime. So combine airtime with unqiue twisty moments, and you got yourself an awesome element.
DBru Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 The last drop on Voyage's triple down in the tunnel! I LOVE it!
yankees15 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 El Toro's airtime hill that goes over Rolling Thunder, and the two hills after the intial drop. All of these hills have ridiculous ejector airtime. Thunderhawk's second turnaround hill. The top of this hill in the front car of the train has awesome ejector airtime.
coreyml Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 GA cyclone - 2nd drop Voyage - the hill before the last 90deg that crosses under the track, then turns back uphill to the 90deg uh, cyclops 2 hills on avalanche paralleling the lift/drop and the 4th drop on the GA cyclone - where the photo op was
cycamps Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Pretty much any hill on American Eagle at SFGAm. The airtime on that ride is amazing.
coasterdude28 Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I have a few. The first two hills on El Tor, and the hill going over RT. All three have insane airtime. The triple down on Voyage. Awesome at night! Thunderhawk at DP has some nice surprise hills that give a lot of air on a good day.
timetrial3141592 Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 If we're doing both steels and woodies... The drop off the brakes on Riddler's. The pretzel loop (specifically, the dropping part) on Tatsu. Voyage's Triple down.
