fatdaddy
Edit- Forgot to mention there will be 2 loose article bins in the station. Back to SFMM for a "Hard Hat" tour, or maybe a "drop cloth" tour, since they are pretty much just painting at this point. Okay, info: Lots of painting, renovation, and retheming in the main plaza. Cyber cafe becomes Plaza Cafe, new paint, renovation and some new menu items. You will now buy your funnel cake at the Funnel Cake Factory, again all these will be refurbed and painted. The renamed Six Flags Emporium will have all new floors, fixtures, paint, and lighting. Orient Express will become Helpful Honda Express, new paint and theming. "New" Asian restaurant replacing the old. The area used for Chupacabra in the X2 Plaza will become the ADA entrance. All three queues (ADA/standyby/FlashPass) will meet, with a security guard posted to prevent line jumpers. New Revolution gets blue and white paint, tracer lights in the loop, referb of the station, and all new landscaping, water elements in the queue will be replaced by landscaping. Yes, it gets a new train! No, we did not get to see it yet. Looks to be progressing at a decent pace, I haven't seen Revolution look this nice in decades! I like the fact that Six Flags went the extra mile and decided to update the entire area and not just the coaster. Okay, pictures... New revolution, old car. This gets a much needed restoration. Every little detail... very bright colors, although I'm not sure how they'll hold up to the Caliornia sunshine. very bright colors, although I'm not sure how they'll hold up to the Caliornia sunshine. Every detail painted, and not just slopped on paint either. Orient Express gets a retheme and new paint. Helpful Honda something or other, being painted and rethemed. Cyber Cafe will be renamed and updated. Hey look they are painting something. New Revolution Rocks! Serously, I don't know hat the rocks are for. All new landscaping goes here. New concrete. Bury Jimmy Hoffa here. My new office. Something went here. New Flash Pass entrance, you'll have to crawl on the floor. No more water. Okay, now coaster pictures in no particular order... And there you have it. Sorry if some pictures showed up twice, or out of order, something went funky during my upload. Thanks for looking, share it with your friends...DO IT NOW! PVA62
At first, I wasn't a fan of the blue, but I think it gives it a nice pop. I prefer the all white but I welcome the changes! Looks good, I'm interested to see how the trains turn out.

viking86
Looks really good, always nice to see an old ride get some much needed love. Tatsu could use a new coat of paint as well Maybe they'll have some remaining paint when they're done with Revolution. I'm sure Tatsu would look good in blue. coasterkid124
Besides branding Orient Express, everything else is looking great. I think the decision to not use red on the tracks is because it would fade quicker than any other color. Seems like SF is trying to turn things around a little bit this year. There's a lot more aesthetic changes than just rides.

SFOG1991
A few thoughts... 1) I am really digging the new color scheme as it gives the ride more POP. I was not a fan of the blue in the loop but I'm starting to like it. 2) Helpful Honda Express is a ridiculous name, but I am sure the wraps on the ride itself will be even more ridiculous. 3) Why are they getting rid of the water feature in the queue? I am not completely aware of how it looked before, but it seems like that is a downgrade. Then again, if Six Flags can't be trusted to maintain it, maybe removing it is best. They are getting rid of all the water features because of the drought in California. They will be replacing these areas with new landscaping. aeyrolet
Something else not noted was the loop will receive chasing lights. The park is also working on creating an LED light-package that will reflect different colors off of the withe structure!
coasterbill
Is that seriously their excuse for getting rid of water features? I could see turning them off short term but give me a break. It's a cost cutting measure. I'm totally fine with that but don't insult people's intelligence and say it's because you're being conscious of the drought. Yes, and replacing the water features with plants is a downgrade. It has nothing to do with the drought, unless they plan on removing their water rides as well. Both run on recycled water, except the water feature doesn't take nearly as much water or need to be kept nearly as clean. If that is what the park is claiming, they are basically flat out lying. Other than the loss of the water, everything about this entire project is amazing though!
Jew
Seeing as you guys are not from California, you probably don't understand how much hype there is behind being "drought friendly" right now in CA. Pretty much every city, corporation, and homeowner that can afford it is doing it because things are very bad and there's free PR to be had. You also probably don't understand how expensive going drought friendly really is without any rebates (a good looking drought friendly re-model of a small front yard is at least 10K), so Six Flags is probably paying more to re-landscape than to have just left it as is... The water is recycled anyways, so I highly doubt the cost of maintaining/operating the old stream through the queue was that high to begin with... Look, I hate SFMM as much as the next person, but you guys are getting ridiculous with the nitpicking. The SFMM thread is hundreds and hundreds of pages long, and I highly doubt there is a single mention of how nice the queue was. It's all about how terrible the ride was with OTSR's. You get the removal of the OTSR's and now you're complaining about removing a water feature you probably didn't even notice?!?!?
