Ride Bucket List

My biggest want - to - ride would be The Texas Giant.

^^ Dollywood is really on that park bucket list for me as well. Not to mention so many of the rides would be on my ride bucket list! I just have to make my way there one day!

Hmm--I guess for me, it's finally getting around to visiting Cedar Point. Every time I plan to visit some season, something comes up that interferes with my plans. Well, maybe next year--finally.

I don't have a specific ride at this time but more of a goal to ride every coaster in California. At the moment I'm missing about 14!

I've had some anticipated roller coasters to check off my list to ride and put on my credit list. I still have a lot of roller coasters I'm dying to ride so this got me thinking, what rides do people want to put on their credit list the most? So basically just put your top 5 most anticipated credits and provide reasons why the roller coasters are in your top 5. I'll start.

 

5. Outlaw Run (Silver Dollar City)- it's a Rocky Mountain coaster that is new in 2013. I've always been very curious about coasters like this to see how it would turn out and with the success of New Texas Giant, I really hope to ride this 1 day.

 

4. Iron Rattler (Six Flags Fiesta Texas)- basically same reasons as Outlaw Run. I put this ahead of Outlaw Run because based on POVs, the layout looks a little better to me plus it has a tunnel. Another highly anticipated Rocky Mountain coaster for me.

 

3. Tatsu (Six Flags Magic Mountain)- i've always loved pretzel loops. It's probably my favorite element on any ride plus I'm a huge fan of Superman: Ultimate Flight. This is supposed to be a better version of Superman, the loop is higher and the theme looks great. I really want to see how much better this is than Superman.

 

2. Voyage (Holiday World)- this wooden coaster always goes head to head with El Toro for the title of best wooden coaster in the world. El Toro happens to be my favorite ride. I also hear Voyage has the most airtime on any coaster. With all of these reasons, I really need to ride this ride to see who the title of best wooden coaster really belongs to.

 

1. Intimidator 305 (Kings Dominion)- i've heard so many positive things about this coaster. For instance that it's intense, has a very good drop and has a lot of airtime. That basically reminds me of a steel version of El Toro. If it's even close to El Toro status, it can end up very high in my top 10 list, perhaps even number 1.

 

So those are my 5 most anticipated credits. What's yours?

After seeing some pics and a POV of it, I have a strange urge to ride Phaethon, the Korean B&M Invert. Despite hearing that it's quite forceless, it looks like a really fun ride to me, I have no idea why.

 

Another coaster I'll add to my bucket list is Olympia Looping.

My bucket list has changed a lot recently..currently topping it are:

 

Starry Sky Ripper/Scraper/Scrapper: The B&M flyer in China..the most unique layout I've ever seen on a coaster. The reaction from Robb and the other TPR members (who have all ridden countless coasters) of how surprised they were at how great it was says it all, this one tops my bucket list easily.

 

Gravity Max, the Taiwanese Tilt Vekoma: Blown away by this concept..no idea this existed until I saw TPR post it, it looks amazing and I really want to try it.

 

Outlaw Run: So unique, so crazy..wish it was easier to get to..must try it!!

 

Eejanaika & Dinoconda: I'm a 4D nut, I'd like to ride them all, pain or no pain.

 

Kingda Ka: Im on the west coast so I havent been able to get out east to ride this or TTD, a problem I will solve sooner than later.

 

Intimidator 305: Ive heard so many good things, I have to try it just from the hype.

Side note: Cool to see that a coaster at my little ol' local park SFDK is making people's bucket lists..Superman: Ultimate Flight is definitely a good one. That roll is pretty amazing. I always like to watch and see who has the guts to put their arms up and hang by their knees upside down at 150 feet!
